Hudson Farmers Market is the best place for fresh veggies and fruits, with the best quality and the best prices. In spring and summer, they have a great selection of plants, all healthy and all at good prices.
Natural Plus specializes in organic and natural foods, and their selection of natural beauty products is just great. I like their frozen food section because they always have something different that no one else carries.
Basic Foods has a good selection of organic foods and fresh produce. I find their prices to be a litlle cheaper than the big grocery stores in Hoboken. I stop there often for fresh fruit, and they always have good quality items.
The Kings supermarket in Hoboken is a very new store; well lit and clean. Their prices are a litle higher than other stores in the area and they do not offer a lot of selection.
Lepores makes beautiful chocolates that have an out of this world taste. It's worth the trip off the beaten path, especially for their Easter specials. They do a nice job with gift wrapping, too.
This store was recently renovated and is much nicer now. The prices are a little higher than other area supermarkets but the store is kept very clean. Selection is a little limited and parking can be a problem on weekends.
This store is a smaller store but it has a nice selection of wines and liquors. The prices are competitive to other stores in the neighborhood, and the owner is very friendly.
Subzi Mandi has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and a good range of Indian specialty items. They are priced well and usually have everything I am looking for.
This Shoprite is always kept very clean and they keep a good stock of the sale items so they do not run out too often. The cashiers are friendly and fast. Lots of parking available.
Fairway has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and, for a market in the city, their prices are not too bad. I would not buy canned food here though since it is more expensive and the variety is limited.
