I had bought a vehicle here after seeing it advertised in my Sunday paper at a specific price. I went to Open Road to buy this particular vehicle and the price they gave me was much higher than it was advertised. I showed them the advertisement and they matched the price. They told me there was a typographical error, but they still matched the price. They didn't give me a hard time. Once the paperwork was signed... I was out of there in about an hour. I have bought vehicles from other places and have literally spent all afternoon there waiting for paperwork, financing, etc.
THe only bad thing is, this place is busy on weekends so be prepared to wait your turn.
If you are looking for some cute, cheap shoes... try Payless. A lot of shoes are not leather, but you can find some leather work shoes/boots. They have every size plus they have wide width available in certain shoes. I was even able to find a pair of wide width sneakers for my son. Plus, if you can't find your size in the shoe you want... they can find it for you at another store. I haven't tried this yet, but I hear you can even order from Payless.com and have it delivered to the store for pick up to save on shipping.
When I moved to Old Bridge, I had a hard time finding a good Chinese food delivery place. I tried a few places and found they were just "OK". So, one day I ordered from here and have been ordering from here ever since.
I find they have SUPER fast delivery. My food often arrives in about 15 to 20 minutes.
The quality of the food is good and I never have to worry about getting a bad piece of chicken in my chicken & broccoli.
I do agree that this store is smaller than most B&N stores. But I never had a problem with high school kids here. Each time I have gone here, the only noise problem there is, is in the children section (which is on the complete opposite side of the store). The kids will play around on a small stage that is there or read books aloud.
On the other side of the store (where Starbucks is), it's usually pretty quiet. Not as quiet as say a Library (where people should go to study for complete piece and quiet), but I've never had a problem when I've gone here.
Parking can be a problem during busy times... like holidays. I often go during the day and I can get a spot right in front.
The staff is always friendly when I go there..
My only con is that I can find cheaper prices on BN.com. I even get free shipping when I spend $25 +... then the books are on my doorstep a day or two later.
I have to say I loved shopping here for my maternity clothes when I was pregnant with both my children. I think Motherhood Maternity stores have such a strict return policy because of the nature of the clothes. When you're pregnant, you can grow out of your clothes pretty quickly if you don't plan ahead. So, I would think some people would wear something once then want to return it. If you are a size 8 pre-pregnancy or a size medium... that's what you need to buy for maternity clothes... don't buy a size down, because believe me, you will need the bigger size in months to come.
I find this store always has more trendy style clothes. If I want to buy a t-shirt, I can go anywhere. But if I want a cute sundress or something, I go here.
A lot of retailers sell maternity clothes, but I chose to buy most of my things here. I found the quality to be great (with the exception of 2 100% cotton t shirts that got shrunk). I had a pair of jeans from here that I wore A LOT. They lasted thru so many washings that I was able to wear them again when I was pregnant less than a year later with #2.
I guess the biggest problem is all the staff are high school kids. I never see anyone above the age of 18 working here. I looks like they are all there just to hang out.
A lot of the games that require tokens do not work. Plus, the staff doesn't seem to care that they don't work (they could put a sign on them so you don't waste your time putting tokens in them). Plus, the place just looks very dirty.
There's a huge climbing gym for kids that I wouldn't let my children near because: first, there was no staff watching the area (not even one person just to supervise), second, it just looked very dingy and dirty, and third, I saw a little girl climbing around with a piece of pizza in her hands.... and you know she got pizza on everything.
This could be a great place for kids but it needs some serious TLC.
We were going to have a birthday party for my son here, but after seeing the condition of the place... we chose to go somewhere else
I definitly agree with the previous poster that the place needs a face lift. The parking is very tight and needs to be taken care of. If you are on a bowling league here.... good luck trying to find a spot to park.
Overall the place is fine for bowling..especially since there aren't as many bowling alleys around as there used to be.
We usually go here only a few times a year... but each time we go, we have a great experience.
The bakery has freshly baked items. I STRONGLY reccomend the apple crumb pie.
The fruit is always is great shape. I find when I go to a local super market that the fruit is bruised or so over ripe that it's going bad.
They also have a deli that has everything.
There is a Sams Club closer to me than this one, but I always travel the extra miles to this particular one. I just find the selection is better. Plus, this one sells alcoholic items as well.
Whenever we are having a BBQ, we go to this Sam's and stock up on everything from plates and plasticware to beer and meat. They even have a section that sells sea food. My husband always gets the king crab legs. They are always fresh (or so he tells me).
It does require a membership to go to Sam's, but well worth it in my opinion.
I have since stopped going to this store because the customer service is lacking. I was almost 8 months pregnant and exchanging a baby gate. The lady at customer service was rude and gave me a really HARD time exchanging it. The gate was broken when I opened the box and just wanted to exchange it for a new one. She made it seem like I broke the gate. I contacted BRU and have never heard back.
Plus, ever time I go here, there seems to always be a long line at the check outs.
