Good prices are just the start here. The owner's "groomers touch" is apparent in the lack of knicks that my in-laws westy comes home with. My dog, too, doesn't actually mind going here. No where near the "shakes" she gets when I took her to other places. The location can be tricky to find.
Great club. While the club isn't as "upscale" as some of its local competetors, its a fine place to become a member of. The docks are outstanding, the bar fabulous, and its location cannot be beat. A real friendly crowd.
This is a great - and clean - facility. They have a wide selection of classes offered at various times of the day. They also have personal trainers available to help you out if you need it. Ahh...and they have babysitting. Yep, for a just a couple of bucks an hour your little ones are entertained and can watch you through the glass while you work your way back into shape. Their free weights aren't the greatest and they are expensive.
PROS: varied classes, babysitting
CONS: price, minimal free weights
There is a nice selection of used items here. Some of the items tend to be a little bit expensive for what they are - used. I never get to find any good children's clothes - everyone else gets to them before me. Worth an occasional visit to find the rare deal.
for anything nautical. This store has it all. Beautiful model ships, odd nautical themed lamps, brass clocks all sorts of other nautical knick knacks and doo dads. Its a specialty gift shop - so I found the prices to be slightly elevated. But its a local store with friendly service. Worth the extra few pennies.
The only downside to this store is that it is a little small. Still, if you like to eat organic foods - or live an "organic" life - you'll find this store carries most of your basics.
This store has the cutest childrens clothes. As always, there is a better selection of clothing for girls than boys. All clothes, though, are classic. They are a little pricey, but worth it.
I thought this store was a little pricey for what it was. The clothing was cute enough, but I wasn't willing to shell out the extra dough. They did have a nice selection of "classic" toys. They toys were better priced than the clothing.
I love these little stores. You know, the kind with the funky shaped noodles and all sorts of little preserves tied with tiny bows. This store has more. Located in Poulsbo, its no wonder that it has all sorts of Scandinavian baking supplies: wafflers, rosette ironss and shortbread pans. They also have a wide selection of Pacific NW food items. The prices are typical for a store of its type - a tinge overpriced.
Liberty Bay Books is a little store located in the heart of the historic downtown Pouslbo. It has the quaint feel of the Norwegian town and is packed with books. They have a neat little childrens section - partioned off and chock full of toys. The adult selection is limited, though. I really like to shop locally owned stores whenever I can, but this store didn't seem to catch my fancy.
