Breakfast at Lou Mitchell's is a treat for everyone. Everyone gets donuts to munch on while waiting for a table and the ladies get Milk Duds. The food is classic breakfast fare and the service is prompt. The omlettes are delicious and hearty and the banana pancakes the fluffiest I've eaten.
These rate as the best brownies I've ever eaten. Theses chocolate brownies are dense but not too chewy and not overly sweet. It's a small bakery tucked away in Chelsea Market that is easy to miss, but is worth a try for chocolate lovers. The brownies come in a several varieties with nuts and carmel but the plain one is amazing. They even have small bite sized brownies for sampling!
The rooms were clean and stylish with nice beds and a modern shower. There is a inner courtyard with a European feel and virtually no noise from traffic or activity in the streets. The hotel is excellent for getting to Broadway, Times Square and getting around the city . The complimentary breakfast was tasty each morning. The staff ( especially Mike ) was very informative and helpful in giving us tips about the city and how to navigate it while we were there.
I thoroughly recommed this hotel and would stay there again!
This casual bar in Lakeview is always great for a casual night out in Lakeview. Never a crowded bar scene or loud music that makes you shout to hear anything. It's just good drinks, good bar food (huge portions) and the outdoor seating makes for a relaxed night out.
The food is mediocre and overpriced but the martinis ( that are half-priced Sunday's and Tuesday's )and the nightly entertainment make this a great night out in city.
One of the better tapas restaurants in the city. The tapas are consistently good and the portions are large enough to share each plate. most of the cold and hot tapas are delicious - especially the grilled seafood and chicken.
Great food, great service, unique decor. Fun place to eat in the summer & people-watch. The servers always are very friendly and helpful, with the entire staff always watching over your table, not just one. Also great for carry-out and delivery
10 Pin Bowling Lounge moves away from the dive-bar atmosphere that most bowling alleys are associated with. It caters to the urban professionals who can now bowl a few frames while sipping martinis after work. It gets busy and the upbeat music kicks in at nighs which gives it more of a social atmosphere.
I'm in no hurry to head back to this over-priced dessert bar. The dessert was very good, - we ordered the donuts with chocolate sauce, but not worth the eight dollars for really small portions.
This is one of the few remaining classic theaters with a style remaining from 50 years ago. The movies shown are classic movies or independent films. The seat are not the most comfortable, but the charm and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling make it worth a visit.
