The Cineplex Odeon offers mostly B movies and artistic films. The price is reasonable and there's plenty of parking, though much of it is in competition with the other businesses in the area. Seating is comfortable. Overall, a pleasant movie experience, and I definitely recommend the overall area of Shirlington.
This library is small and it's book selection is limited, however, it has a great offering of story hour for different age groups. The lead teacher is wonderful with children and really engages the group. Parking is very limited at the library, so we either rode the Metro or parked along the street. It's just a few blocks from the National Zoo.
Springfield Mall is one of my favorite malls. It has great stores, plenty of parking, and the hours are reasonable. The location is great - it's right off I-95. It's large with two floors and has an excellent food court. It's very family friendly and has a beautiful, large carousel in the center.
Our family really likes this zoo. We prefer to take the Metro to avoid traffic and parking hassles. It is indeed free, which amazed us the first time we went there (but then again, all Smithsonian's are free). It has a nice layout and the animals are kept in appropriate areas. Even on crowded days, because it's so large, it doesn't feel packed. Highly recommended!
Calexico Ten is the best movie theater in Imperial County. My only complaint is that the a/c is cranked too high, so I had to wear a light jacket. The ticket price is average for a movie ticket and the concession stands are expensive (most are). The chairs are comfortable and we like their stadium seating. For the popular movies, make sure to show up early to get a good seat, as it fills up quickly.
Overall a very nice facility. It has plenty of parking, a well maintained swimming pool, nice locker rooms, and good exercise equipment. It also has a basketball gym for pick-up games, and a spacious group exercise room for classes. The staff are friendly and helpful. The monthly fees are slightly expensive for the area, but worth it if you plan to use the gym often. I recommend at least checking it out.
PROS: very nice facility with lots of ammenities
CONS: slightly expensive
This agency is ok. It's ideal if you are trying to get a secretarial job or some other office job. If you have professional skills, you're probably better off just scanning the classifieds and applying directly to the company. Most of the jobs Acme had available were low paying office jobs, and don't forget that they get a percentage of your wage for as long as you're in that position at the company.
Greendale is a nice mall located in the Greendale area of Worcester off I-190. I really like its variety of stores and restaurants. It has plenty of parking and reasonable hours. I liked it when they set up the rock climbing wall in the middle of it. It's not a huge mall but it's a good size for the area.
Top notch liberal arts college located in a lovely residential section of Worcester. Most class sizes are small, with 25 students or less, and are taught by professors who know the students by name. Students are friendly, intelligent, well-rounded, and helpful. Almost all students live on campus, either in dorm rooms or apts/suites. The campus is self-contained with beautiful landscaping, and even has a large duck pond in the front.
Clark offers a great education, with professors/faculty that really encourage independent thinking. It has a relaxed, almost bohemian-like atmosphere. The living arrangements are sufficient and some students live off campus. The location is less than desirable but not the worst section of town. Costs are slightly high - it is not an inexpensive school. Overall this school is recommended.
