Lakeshore Learning Store
I enjoy going to Lakeshore Learning every fall to purchase classroom supplies. They have a wide variety of materials that can be used at home or in the classroom. What I like about Lakeshore is that they have fun learning games that I don't have to create! They also have a great selection of art supplies! Their prices are higher than I like to pay but the store has a friendly staff, organized, and is well stocked.
Galleria Stadium 11
The Galleria is a fabulous place to watch movies. I enjoy the city feel it has. The location is always busy. You can enjoy a yummy dinner and a beer/martini downstairs at one of the area restaurants. Before venturing up to watch the show. Parking is validated for 3 hours. The only complaint that I have is that the movie prices continue to increase. I went to a similar style theater in Guadalajara and watched an American new release for $4.50 per person!!! This was just 2 years ago! I can't imagine how much a night at the movies costs the average family!!
Ross Dress For Less
My fiance and I enjoy shopping at Ross. We often go when we are bored at home. We walk in and say goodbye to each other as we each wonder around looking at what's new. We always find several items! There prices are very reasonable. The clothing style is current. I've bought other items besides clothes from Ross such as exercise equipment (fitness ball, bands, Nike yoga mat, etc.), sheets, towels, kitchen items, note cards, etc. The only negative that I can think of is that many times the store is messy or cluttered.
Safeway
NE 85th Street's Safeway is the grocery store that I frequent most often. There are several reasons why I prefer this store: fresh and organized produce, stocked shelves, nice meat department (they'll cut anything you want with a smile!) friendly staff, movie rentals (new releases are often in stock), STARBUCKS (buy 7 get one free with club card), Alaska Miles rewards, and good prices. There are only two cons that I can think of. First, unclean bathrooms. I don't have to go often but when I needed to go, I was surprised that it looked run down. Second con is the busy parking lot. I drive in circles sometimes finding a spot near Safeway versus Wallgreens.
Ross Cusic, OD
I've been going to Optical Images for several years now. The receptionists are AMAZING! When I walk in the door (not having an appointment scheduled) they say, "Hello Stephanie" It always surprises me. They even know my fiance's name!! The optometrist has a high-tech office. This past visit he took a picture of my optical nerves inside each eye! It was very interesting! Glaucoma runs in my family and this method replaces the traditional "puff" of air test . In fact, it is a more indepth method. I would highly recommend this business. I have always had A+ visits!
Fred Meyer Pharmacy
I frequent Fred Meyer Redmond 2-3 times a month because it is less than a mile from my house. One of the reasons that I like Fred Meyer is because they have almost everything that you are looking for. I can by towels, a hammer, milk, and bread all on the same trip. There prices aren't fantastic but doable when you have several items to purchase. This Fred Meyer isn't nice and new like Redmond's (which I find impressive in comparision). It could use a remodel. One of my favorite features that this store offers is their self checkout area. I don't think I have ever had to wait in line for more than 3 minutes! They even have a Ticketmaster in their electronics department if you are interested in buying special event tickets! I'll continue to shop there.
Macys
I frequent the Redmond Town Center more frequently now that Macy's is located there. This store is smaller than the Macy's at area shopping malls. However, I feel the quality and variety of clothing and products are GREAT! I've never walked out of the store empty handed. I've always found more than I went in looking for. The departments are packed with racks making some areas too crowded. The employees are distant. I don't recall anyone going out of their way to help. However, when asked they are very friendly. It is nice that their store has everything under one roof unlike the Bellevue store where the Home store is across the mall.
Gene Juarez Salons & Spas
I have been going to the Advance Acadamy for 3 years now. I have never been disappointed with my service. They are very professional! All students have obtained their beauty school certificates. The GJ Advanced students are at school learning the GJ style. It's similar to a master's degree. I love how the instructors check to make sure everything has been done correctly. The prices are very nice as well. Give it a try!
Aesthetics Northwest Institute
I've been to the ABC Skin College for three types of services: waxing, manicure/acrylics, and pedicure. Each time I have had very nice students preforming the service on me. The prices are unbeatable! $5 for eyebrow waxing! $20 for manicure! $20 for a pedicure! I even had pariffen given complimentary...it's only a couple bucks extra! They also offer a spa package that includes a facial, pedicure, and manicure for $60!!!! Keep in mind that this is a school. You will not be in a aromatherapy room listening to Enya and hearing the fountain trickling in the background. Your in an open room with other clients. I was very satisfied and will go again!
Bellevue Golf Course
The city of Bellevue has a public golf course behind Crossroads Mall. This is a small par 3 course built in a wooded area. To me and my fiance this is an over sized miniature golf course. Sometimes we over shoot the green when we tee off. It is fun though. No pressure. We're not that good. We often see children on the course. This is a great place for them to learn! They also have a small driving range and they offer lessons.
