I stopped by Totem Travel to gather information for my honeymoon planning. i spoke to Linda and she was very helpful and answered many of my questions along with offering suggestions that I didn't even consider. She gave me some reading material and invited me to contact her with any questions along with invited me to their upcoming information Carribbean Night. I will most likely book my honeymoon through them. You don't get the personal touch using a website!
I like the Crossroads Cinema. They have all the great movies with less of a crowd. Plus you are close to the mall and can either shop or get a quick bite before or after the show. I think the screen at the Crossroads Cinema is larger than some of the other larger facilities. I could be wrong but it felt bigger:) Give it a try sometime!
I do not shop at Top Foods that often because there is not one in the town I live in. However, I do make it to the Woodinville store every couple of months. They have a great store. I love their food court! They have a wide variety of quick eats and a great salad bar. I also like their produce section. The fruits and vegetables always look organized and fresh. I also enjoy their wide aisles. No waiting for people to pass by. They also have a larger selection of Hispanic food items that I cannot find in my neighboring stores.
I have not been able to go to the Reptile Man's zoo up in Monroe yet. However, I had the pleasure of meeting him when he came to do an in school field trip at my school. He is friendly, entertaining, and shares his passion of reptiles with his audience. He is very informative and allows you to touch some of his pets. He brought 15 of his animals with him. Our favorites were his snapping turtle, albino burmese python, and his baby alligator. I can't wait to go and check out his zoo someday!!
I learned how to ski at Steven's Pass 22 years ago. I still love this place. They are world class in my eyes. There runs are always groomed nicely and they build fun ski/board parks for those who like to practice tricks. I enjoy skiing at night because the lines are short. I always buy a pass prior to arriving at the mountain so I can park at the top lot next to Brooks chair. That way I can board down to the line. Steven's is at a higher elevation making the roads less than perfect conditions at times. Make sure you are prepared.
I've gone on the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery twice. Both times I took their free half hour tour. You must take the tour in order to have a free tasting. The tour is very informative and the guides have fun personalities. I learned something new during each tour. It's a little chilly in one of the rooms so bring a light jacket. After the tour we were allowed to taste several wines and explore the gift shop. This is a great afternoon activity to do with out of town guests or just for fun!
Golden Gardens is a wonderful park. I love how it has a true sandy beach that is great for strolling with friends or a loved one. They also have a new bathhouse that is very inexpensive to rent! There is a campground close by. Parking can be tough on busy summer days. This beach also allows campfires in pits! Go and check it out!
Because the King County System is so large, smaller branch buildings are in every city in the county. Because of this, the selection must be divided. Every time I go to the Kirkland library, the books that I want are never in their facilty. I always have to request and wait for them. The personnel are helpful and friendly. They have a nice selection of periodicles available. I'll continue to go since it is the closest library to me.
The Seattle Library has a gorgeous new downtown facility. The architecture is very impressive. I have never seen a library like this before. The inside is very spacious. Escalators take you to the top. Lots of modern furniture to sit and read. There are also hundreds of computers that can be used. I highly recommend that you stop by and explore the next time you are downtown.
I'm new to golf and I have gone to Wayne Golf Course a couple of times. There prices were a little less than other neighboring courses. We rented a cart because the front nine was very hilly. The course was busy but I didn't feel pressured to golf fast. We had a lot of fun playing all 18 holes.
