Larry's Market is a great super store if you are looking for a specialty item. The have a large variety of oils, vinegars, hot sauces, bbq sauce, chocolate, etc. They carry national brands along with smaller and local brands. The stores are always clean and tidy. I enjoy stopping by at lunch and making a salad at their salad bar. The store is busy during lunch hour. They have a little restaurant that always has a line. Larry's staff are very knowledgable in every department. Due to their higher prices, I usually don't do my large grocery shopping there.
I am an educator and every year I take my class to one of Kirkland Performance Center's Storybook Theater shows. They are very entertaining for both children and adults!!! They always run smoothly, their sets are well constructed and fun to watch transform, the characters are top notch, and they are interactive!!! They usually do well known fairy tales with a twist making it fun to compare and contrast after the show. If you have a child, this is a must see!!
From the outside, Merry Go Round doesn't look all that appealing. But once you are inside, you can see how special they are. I've never been in a children's store quite like this. Maybe it is because I haven't had children yet. I went to buy a baby shower gift and fell in love with everything inside! Their furniture is beautiful yet pricey. I've never seen a sleigh bed for an infant before:) The bedding sheets were very fashionable not your plain white. They have a average size section of clothes that are made with the softest fabrics. I walked out with a smile knowing that when I do have children, I will want to shop here!
PROS: adorable baby items
Staples has everything! I go there every fall to buy school supplies for my classroom. The aisles are very organized and employees are floating around and available to answer questions. They have great sales and a teacher rewards program! Go check it out!!!
Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue is located near the Bellevue Hyatt. It is located on the 21st floor and it overlooks Bellevue, Lake Washington, and in the distance Seattle. The servers are knowledgable and very friendly. The food is DELICIOUS! It is definately more upscale than a neighborhood steak house like the Keg. The bar area is a lot of fun. They have a piano where you can sit next to and set drinks and food on top. Tonight I felt that Neil Diamond was in the bar singing!!! They have a great happy hour and a humidor for those who enjoy cigars. Parking is always validated. Enjoy this classy place!
I love going to Harvey Airfield in Snohomish. I've been going to this airport since I was little. There is action to watch all the time. Planes taking off and landing, parachuters jumping, and the occasional hot air balloons. Buzz Inn has taken over the old Harvery restaurant. There is nothing fancy abou this place. You order and pay first at the counter and seat yourself. I really enjoy sitting on the large deck in the summer. They also have a covered area for shade or in case of bad weather. Buzz Inn also has a full bar for those who enjoy a cocktail.
I went to Brides Outlet this afternoon and was very impressed with the amount of gowns that they carried. They had a large selection of "one-of-a-kind" gowns along with a smaller ,but still held plenty, orderable gowns and a very small area of couture. I spent a few minutes in each section and did not see more than 3 gowns that caught my eye. The styles weren't what I was looking for. I went to try on and the saleswomen did not have my bra size (36D) so I made do with 34D. Then she left me for my own in the dressing room. I couldn't believe she didn't help me into the gowns! I've been to two previous stores and I had help at both of them!!! It was crazy trying to do it on my own. Out of the three, there was one that was a possible but I didn't "LOVE" the dress. I suggest that you go and check it out. Their prices were reasonable. You may enjoy what they have. If you go, bring a friend or two to help you in and out of the gowns!
WSECU has been the best banking decison I have made. I've been a member for 4 years. I do all my banking online and use their online bill payer program (free). Everything is included...free checks, accounts (at least what I have), overdraft protection. The only downside that I have is if I have a check to cash, I need to use a US BANK cash machine. I do not get charged though. I think there are other options. I just need to read up on it. If you work for a school district in any way, I highly suggest that you check them out!!! www.secuwa.org!!!!
Teatro Zinzanni Dinner and Dreams is a must do! Very entertaining with several unique Tom Douglas courses to savor on. My family and I went around Christmas time and were entertained all around us. The preformers walk around and mingle in their own quirky way with audience members. The preformers remind me of those from Cirque de Soliel. It is pricey but well worth going once or maybe even twice for a special occasion!!
Denny's is a great local pet store! They have a large variety of animals and pet products. I enjoy exploring their aisles and watching their pets. The birds are beautiful!! Petco is a great corporate store....However, I like to help out small businesses and that is why I choose to shop here!
