I've only been to this guitar center once or twice to buy strings and to play around on their guitars. This location is smaller than most of the other stores I've been to. They do have good prices and a lot of variety in the items they sell, but I can't stand all the people who "jam" on the electric guitars, especially when there are multiple people playing different guitars at the same time. It's annoying. But I've always been assisted by people who seem very knowledgeable about guitars. Overall this isn't the best guitar center, but it'll do for a quick fix.
This is the only location I've ever been to, but I really enjoy it! It is a coffee shop located inside an old two story house. They have tables and chairs, but also comfy chairs and couches to sit on. It's a great place to get away to study, as long as you have some music with you or don't mind hearing people conversing. It's usually a calm environment though. Their coffee and teas are great and they have the most amazing food here as well. The food prices are kind of steep, but the drinks are reasonably priced. I really enjoy this place and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice cafe like meal or a good cup of coffee.
Originally I was nervous this place would only have fish tacos (silly me) but that's just one of their specialties. They have great chicken and steak meals as well. I'd also recommend their bowls. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican place, this is not it. It's more American Mexican, or I would maybe even describe it as fresh/healthy Mexican food. The prices are pretty decent for the quality and quantity of food they provide you. The atmosphere here is really fun but laid back. They have Polaroid photos of customers and skate/surf attire lining the walls. If you're lucky, maybe you can get a picture on the wall.
Overall I love eating here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
It's kind of weird to review a church on a website, but oh well. I've been going to this church for over a year now and I really enjoy it. The congregation is made up primarily of local college students, but there are people of all age groups represented. The pastor has very pertinent and challenging messages that relate to our current issues that we face as Christians, and the worship is amazing. I've felt very welcome in this church community since the first Sunday I attended. On a less important note, they have great snacks and a mean cup of coffee with all the different types of cream for those who can't handle a straight cup of coffee.
I worked here as part of an internship where my classmates and I would observe on Saturday mornings during the football season. They offered a free clinic for athletes who could not afford care, or could not receive it due to insurance purposes. Ed and his staff are very knowledgeable and personable. They have great resources at their disposal. It's not only a great learning environment for students, but also a great healing environment for those who are injured and need rehab. If I was injured, I would feel very safe in their care.
I've been to this location a few times and have really enjoyed it. It sits right on the harbor, so the view is great if you are seated on the second floor. It's usually not busy. Even on a friday night our party of 5 only had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I've always had good experiences with the serves. My favorite thing they offer are their garlic roles (which are free of cost). They are drenched in oil, which is unfortunate for my hips, but wonderful for my taste buds!
This 76 location has the cheapest gas around. Just a few blocks down the price is a few cents more. It's just as cheap as the local "Thrifty Gas Station" a block south of it. But it's only that cheap if you pay with cash. You have to add another 10 cents if you want to pay with your credit card, which doesn't make any sense to me, but I don't make the rules. They don't have too many pumps, so it can get crowded at peak hours. Other than that, it's a great option for gas or a quick snack.
This place is awesome! It's a bunch of old ladies who make amazing sandwiches. The meat is fresh and the selection is huge. The prices are also way cheaper than any other sandwich place I've ever been to. It's a little hole in the wall, so if you blink, you may miss it. The parking lot is really small, which makes it hard to find a spot. But overall it's a great place to stop in for lunch.
Can you say fatty burritos? This place is great for the starving and broke college student. It's open 24 hours, so stop in any time of day. But the location is somewhat sketchy. My friend was in their late one night when a bullet came in through the window. The guy behind the counter thought he did it, but it was someone driving by. Also, "The Fling" is right next door, so some interesting people are hanging about. I would not suggest going there alone at night if you're a girl because some drunk pervert next door may try to hit on you. But it's all worth it for their cheap and delicious burritos!
This place is huge and amazingly expensive! I could never afford to stay there as a guest, but I like to frequent the hotel anyway. It's a landmark in San Diego because it's been around for so long. They have a few fun overpriced shops, but the best part is that a "Moo Time" is located on the bottom level. This is a delicious ice cream shop that every person should try at least once in their life. The Hotel Del Coronado is a great place to visit. The landscaping is beautiful, and it is located right on the beach. If I'm ever rich some day, I would love to drop the cash to stay the night, but until then I'll just have to pass through.
