Personally I don't enjoy this store although many of my friends love it. They offer great deals on clothes, but the price reflects the quality in my opinion. Most of the styles are trendy. They shouldn't get a bad review because I'm not a good dresser though. The only thing I really can complain about is that they cram so much stuff into such a confined space. This location is better than others I've been to though, as far as spacing goes. Also, there's typcially parking available.
Typically I've been impressed with the service at this location. They are very customer service oriented. But one time some friends of mine were feeling a little crazy and dressed up in funny clothes and hit the mall. One of the girls in the group wanted to buy a specific pair of shoes that Nordstrom carried. Upon entering, the staff immediately wrote us off. We were not approached to see if we needed help, even as we stood there with the shoe in our hands, waiting as the sales person chatted with another one at the desk. After we asked for help, he handed us the shoe and went back to chatting. Typically they lace it up for you and help you try it on, and make sure the size fits, which it didnt. So again, we had to track down the guy to get another size. He switched the shoe and left us alone again. Although we were dressed goofy, we were not acting immaturely, at least not enough to elicit such a negative response from the sales person. We were paying customers but we were definitely not treated like such.
It's a shame they have to be so snooty. But they still carry great clothes. And, being located in the mall, if you don't find what you need there, chances are it'll be right around the corner at another store.
Miguel's is a good mexican restaurant for those who want an authentic, nice sit down place that is not too expensive. It's usually not too crowded, unless you go on a weekend night. The parking lot out front is really small, but there are several adjacent lots with parking for the restaurant as well. The service is adequate and the food is pretty good, but the best part is their white sauce. With the fresh, warm chips they bring out salsa, but also this cheese sauce (aka white sauce) that is to die for. Literally, it may kill you if you eat too much of it because it's probably not the healthiest thing. But what a way to go...
This location is right on the way to the freeway, which is nice for a quick stop prior to taking a long drive. It has a gas station as well, so you can fill up on gas while you fill up on coffee. Overall, it's a smaller location with not a lot of parking, but it can fulfill all your basic needs. The street it's located on is busy enough so that at night it's not a threatening place.
Located in the Gaslamp district, this is right in the heart of downtown San Diego. Because of the location, parking can be a hassle. This is a special sort of place where the waiters are almost purposefully rude to you. If you're looking for a classy place where you'll be treated really well, this is not where you want to be. If you like a little banter, and a little fun, then you're at the right spot! At the entrance they have a lobster tank where you can catch your own lobster. It's kind of tricky, like those machines where you pay a buck to try and grab a teddy bear with a claw that never quite closes all the way. But if you catch the lobster, they cook it for free! This is a fun place to go if you're in for an atypical night of dining.
Wow...this place is simply amazing! The yogurt itself is pretty good, but the serving sizes are out of control. You can order your yogurt "dropped" for 10 cents more, which gives you a whole lot of extra heavenly goodness. Toppings are just a buck extra, but they layer it so you have a tasty treat in every bite, not just the top layer. The place isn't super clean and the curtains are hideous. The parking is decent, and the line is typically long (especially in the summer) but they keep it moving. But it is well worth it for large quantities of amazing yogurt! So treat yourself to the little slice of heaven known as The Yogurt Mill.
