I've purchased 2 used cars here. Both time I felt a little patronized, but in the end it all worked out. The last time I bought a car there it took HOURS even after we specifically said we were more interested in getting in and out than in striking a great deal. When the paper work was all done and it was time to go, the car was nowhere to be seen. After waiting 45 min, it returned with the salesman. I turns out he had taken it to the auto-bath and washed it himself since the wait for the carwash on the lot was very long. So basically, there were good and bad aspects of the experience, but next time I'm buying a car, I wouldn't rule them out.
When my car needed a new trunk lid, most places estimated the cost to be around $2000, but Hatleys did a very good job for $700. They worked very quickly, finishing the job that included painting and touch-ups in 2 days. They even buffed out other dings on the car for free. The office is a little sparse, but it's ok since thier energies are obviously dedicated to the garage and doing good work rather than keeping a posh waiting room. I highly recommend this body shop, it's conveniently in town on many bus lines and they charge much less than the competition and are very understanding/flexible.
When my car was having problems with exhaust, I went here because it was close. The told me I needed an entirely new exhaust system on my 15 year old car despite the fact that I only need it to pass inspection for one more year. The total they quoted me was $1500, on a car worth less than $500! I said no thanks and went elsewhere to get adequate repairs for $200. Be wary of this place, they will try to rip you off. Make sure you know what you need and what you don't need. It also pissed me off that they treated me like a child (I assume because I'm female) and acted like I had no idea what I was talking about.
The first time I used Chapel Hill Tire was because my car broke down in the parking lot of the grocery store next door. I called and asked if they could tow it, but they didn't have a tow truck. Instead they pushed my car across the parking lot. In a matter of hours they fixed it, replacing 2 belts for only $85 dollars. Since then I have been a loyal customer. At the end/start of the month they can get pretty crowded for car inspections so call ahead. It helps to schedule your routine stuff mid-month. They usually have coupons for oil changes in the paper...
the Lees are great people who will make your clothes fit perfectly. they are good at what they do and will help figure out what needs to be done to make a garment perfect. turn around is usually one day, but they can do most things in as little as an hour.
I've been getting my hair cut at Syd's for a few years now. I have yet to get a bad hair cut. They listen to my hair expectations and never fail to deliver the low maintenance look i want. My only complaint is the new appointments only format, I used to really love just walking in whenever i had the urge to trim the curls...
you end up paying for the convenient location at this nail salon. while they have the standard $35 main/pedi combo, individual treatments cost more here that most places in the area for an average job. They did a great paint job, but the actual pedicure was so-so. I wouldn't go back unless I need and emergeny paint job.
I have only been here once, when I was in high school, and I thought that it was a great place for anyone under 8 years old, but for anyone older it's kind of dull. there are some neat things like the berlin wall section and teh marble wall, but most of the displays and activities are targeted only a children with no adult level alternative.
This is a family favorite when we have to buy presents for children. They have lots of games and interactive toys - great puppets! If you are looking for the perfect kid's present this is the place to go. Most toys have a demo on display so you can play before you buy, another bonus.
I love this store, it supports my crafting habits... Lots of unique beads, it's a great place to go and be creative. They have all the tools and supplies you need and will help you put your piece together. They offer classes for more in depth learning if you're interested...
