This is kind of like a cool little mall in the middle of downtown Chicago. I love going here to shop when it is cold and snowing out, because you have a lot of great stores and a food court altogether in one spot. The only thing I dont like is that the prices are higher than usually, but what can you really expect when you are in the downtown of a big city.
This is a very big (high and wide) beautiful fountain located in downtown Chicago in Grant Park by the lakefront. It is the perfect place to stop at if you are on a date or any time. But the very best time to go is at night. At night it is so beautiful because it has different colored lights. As the fountain water squirts into the air it just looks amazing with all different colors showing through.
This place is so much fun and it is right in the heart of downtown Chicago. You just can not go wrong coming here. This pier has plenty of rides, restaurants and stores. Parking your car there will really cost you though, so I suggest public transportation. IN the summer months they even have fun water taxis you can take.
If you want to take your kids somewhere and have it be educational this is the place for you. There are plenty of artifacts and exhibits to go around here. The price is not bad at all, but on one certain day, I think Tuesdays, admission is free. They would prefer a small donation on that day though.
Deal has to be the cleanest, most organized dollar store I have ever been to. It is a fairly new store so the employes are still nice. This store saved my life around Christmas time when I waited to the last minute to get decorations.
I rent videos here very often, at least once a week. They have a big selection and the prices are great. New releases are $2.50 for one day and all the other movies are either 1 dollar or two for a dollar. On the mid weekdays you get a free dollar movie with a new release rental.
This is a really cool place to buy, sell, and/or games and systems. THey have new and used stuff for great prices. I usually buy the used stuff because it saves you more than half on the of new stuff. The only thing I don't like is that I feel like they don't trade you enough for the products you bring them. Overall though it is a onestop shop for gaming.
This is a very laid-back bookstore. It is kind of like a bookstore, a caf and a library all in one. There is a little area on the second floor where you can buy drinks and snacks. I like it there because its not like most bookstores where you cant look in a magazine or book for too long. At Borders there is seating all over the store for you to read the books and magazines. The very top floor is a music store where you can also seat and lounge.
The zone has all of your car needs. Just go into any location and ask one of there friendly sales associates for help. There prices are lower than at pep boys and they are nicer too. I bought car mats and a wheel cover there for very cheap, but you cant tell that by looking at them.
Fridays is a nice place to go with friends, the atmosphere of this restaurant is great. The prices are also great, but there are a few things I didnt like. The wait for our food was way too long. When the food finally did come it really wasnt anything to write home about and the portion size was small and unfilling. Despite the negatives the wait staff was very friendly.
