This shoe warehouse is a shoe lovers dream! The have everything from heals to sneakers, they even have purses. Since it is a warehouse type of place the prices are great, but what they have is what you see, there are no shoes in the back somewhere everything is already out. I didnt notice until I had kids thought that they dont really have a children section.
Pep Boys has all of your car needs. Just go in and either ask someone if you dont know exactly what you are looking for or type into one of the computers placed throughout the store. There prices for labor and parts is somewhat higher than other places, but they do quality work. I have noticed that they are not the friendliest bunch of workers.
Mr. Rooter is the plumber that saved my familys lives. They are a well-known brand in Chicago so I thought there prices would be high, but the prices were pretty good. I called them and they came within hours and fixed my shower. The only thing I didnt like was that they dont do drywall, so there was a big hole in the wall when he was done. I like the fact that they guarantee their work.
This is a restaurant I really enjoy going to and so does my two year old. Our favorite thing to get there are chicken tenders. They are big and plentiful. What I really love is this dessert called Blondie, it is a brownie topped with fried ice cream. That is a must to try if you go there.
This truly is a family restaurant. You do not have to worry about your kids making noise. All of the food is great, but I love their huge burgers the most. You can eat half and be stuffed and save half for a later meal. You cannot beat that considering the prices are really good.
This is a store just for plus size women. They start from sizes 14 to 32. The clothes themselves have great quality, but the store seems to cater more toward older women rather than younger. The prices are a little high, but worth it in the long run.
I am sure everyone has been to a McDonalds, but this place is a lot more than burgers and fries. They have just remodeled, so it is even better now. It has cool music, cool dcor and Internet kiosk all throughout. That place is always jumping. People love to hang out there. The only thing is that the prices are higher than at a regular McDonalds, but with all of the excitement going on there it does not matter because its worth it.
If you cannot afford to get on a plan and go to Disney World or Land, this is the place for you. They have very exciting roller coasters, fun water rides and plenty of games and prizes. The wait in lines for the rides on average is about 40 to 60 minutes, no kidding, but it is worth it. My family and I usually make a day of it and bring lots of our own food and drinks in a cooler. The food there is way too over priced. For the value the tickets dont really cost that much and it is a lot of fun.
This is a huge library in downtown Chicago. If you are look to research something or just for a book to read, this is the place to go. They have one whole floor dedicated to childrens literature. This library is massive standing about 7 or 8 floors high providing plenty of seating, quiet and privacy.
This is a seasonal event in Chicago. The Taste only runs from June 25th to July 4th and on July 3rd there is a really big fireworks show by the lake front. Different restaurants from all over the city come together and there is live music, demonstrations and activities for the kids. You buy tickets from stands located throughout the area to pay for your food. Its a great place to go if you like food and a not so great if you dont like really, really huge crowds.
