The Sharper Image
Simply put, shop around on the internet for their bizarre assortment of items and you are sure to find it for less money. I don't consider their products to be premium quality, so why pay more?
Lego Store
Never knew they had their own retail outlets. This place is great and VERY affordable. I got my kid a 1000 piece assorted bucket for $19.99 and it keeps her interested for hours at a time. Good comfort for me since it's more constructive than that darn TV. Believe it or not, they also sell pieces individually, on the back wall is a series of racks with all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors.
Cole Haan
Cole Haan & Florsheim are the only wing tips I'll ever buy. Comfortable and fashionable. Not cheap, but how often do you invest in a good pair of shoes??? WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY!
Banana Republic
Love their shirts... styles and quality. They run a bit large for men though. Staff wasn't too helpful, even a bit stuck up. Asked for a particular sleeve during the wrong season (going on vacation though) and was looked at as if I had just keyed her car. Might've just been a bad day for her?
Abercrombie & Fitch
I don't mind paying if I know the quality's there. This place sure knows its fabrics. Good stiching and the styles are standards that won't go out of style in a year. Knowledgable staff as well.
Bath & Body Works
Although a little pricey, well worth it. We're big fans of both their shower gels and hand soaps... and they make perfect gifts for mothers day, etc for others. Try the fruit scented stuff, not their florals.
Hair Cuttery
I stopped going there after they cut my hair WAY too short. Told my friend Jason this and he stopped going for the exact same reason. He had a different stylist as well.
Menards
Check their flyers, always. GREAT prices if it is in their weekly circular. Also friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, go elsewhere for tools, not priced too competitively.
JCPenney
Good quality and brands for the necessities... tshirts, underwear, sox and the like. Don't bother with suits, but ties are a decent price. Staff is not too friendly or helpful either.
Bass Pro Shops
Whether it's a fishing lure or a fishing boat, they have choices for features and price... and people to explain the differences it to you. Competitively priced on most items, but you can find cheaper sometimes elsewhere if there is a sale. Plan on spending 2 hours there though, since you'll want to wander around this huge store. Not long checkout lines though.
