Lowell has a pretigous name and history behind it. The grades are all earned (mostly), and the teahcers for the most part actually care about you and your success in school as well as getting you off to a good start in life. But the buildings are getting old and in some ways it feels really ghetto becasue of all the wear and tear on the school. Don't despair though since lately there has been a lot of conrtuction work making new buildings and renovating old ones to fit the name of Lowell.
PROS: good school
CONS: old worn down buildings
This reminds of the good old fashion hardware store, where you can just go in and talk to the employees there about your project. They would have a good ammount of knowledge and help you get everything you need to buy and how to use them all as well.
I have gone to them for a couple of cavities and a root canel. every time I go there they do a quick good job since I have yet to have any lose filling from them or crowns coming off after 6 months. However, they seem to rush a lot of the stuff, not waiting long enough for the pain killers to set in and start working on mr right away.
PROS: quick service
CONS: the pain
Best buy knows to get people inside and keep them there long enough to buy stuff and get out. With such a big store, there are many demonstrations and demos of thier products. Thier customer service has a great wealth of knowledge of thier products. However it is all just a demo since after 5 minutes of seeing the product in action, you have a very good idea what it is and what it does to very extent. If you aren't sold by it then, then most likely, you won't buy it anytime soon.
PROS: good custemer service
While most Chiropractors out there would take months on end billing you step of the way to kinda fix your problem, this is not it. Within a week, I have gone in for 4 visits and the pain in my neck as completely disappeared. Highly Highly recommeneded.
PROS: Pain gone in week
This dry cleaner is a good choice for when you found out you have the mystery stain on your pants the day before you plan to waer it. If you stress how much you needed it and the time you need it, they will accomendate you but if business is heavey, you may have to accomendate them by paying more. Stil gets the stains out everytime.
Safeway for the most part has been very good to me. They have weekly sales which cuts down certain products as much as 75% discount. However, most of these sales must be caught early or else, you will come to the shelf with nothing there or the last box. The check out lines have been slow before, but that's only when it's at the peak of buying time. Other wise, it's a smooth transaction with very few problems that halt the entire line becasue the machine wouldn't scan or something similar. Over all a good experience.
CONS: grannies shopping
I went into the store looking for a new dog chain since, my old one is getting old but still usable. I had browesd the store and in every section, there was an employeee there just waiting to help nybody find what they wanted as well as making sure nobody steals and disturbs the pets. This was a good thing to have. I went to the dog chain section of the store and saw that they where having a sale, for 3.99 for a dog chain. I thought that would be a reasonable price, so i picked it up and went to the cash registor. While waiting in line, I had also picked up a dog treat for 1.99, some small bone toy which is supposed to be good for thier teeth. When the cash registor rang, up, the total was over 20 bucks. I asked how this could be when the dog leash is 3.99 and the treat was 1.99. Well it seems the problem was that the dog chain was misplaced, but the cashier seemed very shocked about my question and got real defensive. I settled for just the treat which was 1.99, but with all the people in every department hanging around for customer service, I would think that a product placed back incorrectly on the shelf would be fixed immediately. Well it seems these employees where either not doing thier job or had been playing around with the pets too much to care about their inorganic merchandise.
PROS: Customer support everywhere
CONS: Wacked out cashier
The Crepe Vine as the name suggest, sells crepes. It's fun eating crepes for dinner and desert at the same sitting. The service is mainly self serve, you pick your tables and everything, all you have to do is go up to the counter and order your food. After ordering your food, I always put lose change in the Karama jar (Tips), get my number and wait at my table. Since everything is made fresh when you order it, expect about 15 minutes for each dish and they will serve everythihng as soon as it's made reguardless of whether all the food comes in at the same time. The place itself it really rustic and features a lot of art work which are immediatly conversation starters if you happen to know anything about art. The noise is variable depending on how croweded it its, but even if you buy a full course meal with desert and drinks, the tab wouldn't run up more then 16 bucks per person unless you just eat that much.
PROS: Good food affordable price
CONS: Place itself is small and can fill up quick.
