C w Napkin
This Tower Records is especially good for a few reasons. They frequently have live music (free). They also have books and magazines available. There is an extensive music library, along with a big room full of DVD's for sale and for rental. This place is a great record store with a lot more to offer.
Diversey River Bowl
This is a great place to join a bowling league, or just to have a fun night out with some friends. If you have children you can plan birthday parties here. There is actually some parking available, and this place can hold a lot of bowlers. Come here if you are tired of most nights being Blockbuster nights.
Brown Elephant Resale Store
This is a very good resale shop that has everything you could want. There are suits, shoes, shirts, dresses, you name it. Vintage clothing is also available, along with some more contemporary stuff. Come here to put together a cool outfit, or to accentuate your whatver your current style happens to be.
Books In The City South Loop
This is a supposed book store, but the only things that it really sells are a bunch of cheesy stationary and pens. It would make a decent gift shop, but there is definitely no real book selection. The only books I saw were some random textbooks on shelves behind the cheeky stationary and picture frames.
Perillo Saab
Perillo Saab has a great selection and great personable service. After purchase, your car can be maintained at their top-rate facilities by experienced professionals to make sure that it is performing at its peak. The service is very personable; the sales people work hard to make sure that you are satisfied with your car and its performance.
Career Transitions Center
This is a facility that is useful for the unemployed. They have a staff of coaches available and a computer lab and library. You can come here to learn networking skills, resume building, and also to attend workshops on various different topics. It is a great tool to help you get off your feet and make successful transitions and connections.
Store
This is a bar that is popular because of its late liqour license. It stays open until 4 a.m., and 5 a.m. on Saturdays. It has two rooms and a baskeball-shot game. Nothing is cheap here, and usually on weekends they have a cover charge at the door for no reason at all (guys only). They only reason to go here would be to drink late.
PROS: open late
CONS:
Burwood
This is a great local bar hidden on Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park. There are three rooms-it is possible to rent out the back room for private parties. There is a pool table, and they always have free popcorn. The drinks are not too expensive, and there usually is a nightly drink special.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop
This is the original Potbelly's Sandwich Works. They have the best hot sub and milkshakes in Chicago. If you like Quizno's toasted sub sandwiches, then you would looove Potbelly's. Because of this Potbelly's, many more have opened all over Chicago including in Midway airport. If you come, be sure to try the italian sub- its the best.
Men's Wearhouse
This is a quality establishment to rent a Tux from. They have a wide variety of options, colors, and arrangements. The rental service is good if you need to look nice for a wedding or a prom, but otherwise they can sell you a suit if you need it for long periods of time.
