I use Red Oak a lot for travel around the Westchester area. They know the area well and are very reliable - never once have I had a problem with them showing on time or getting lost. Their prices are pretty steep, however, but the cars are clean and the drivers know where they are going. The reservations people are friendly and knowledgable, it doesn't take forever to make the reservation.
I needed a bunch of CDs on the fly to give to clients for a holiday present, and tried to buy them over the phone so I could just pick them up and they wouldn't allow me to do that. It was close enough, located in Grand Central Terminal, but don't do any bargain shopping here - on the average it looked like everything was about $5 more than you'd pay online or elsewhere. The service was good and they had the 15 CDs I needed, so it worked out.
My brother had his wedding luncheon at this golf club and it was fabulous. The scenery was amazing and the events person took care of everything without a hitch which was great since the whole thing was planned from Houston. The food was very very good and the facilities are impressive and well kept. I'd recommend this place any day for an event.
If you happen to live in Tallahassee or stop by to visit, make sure to check out McClay Gardens! It is absolutely stunning and one of my favorite things to see while in Tallahassee (which admittedly doesn't have too many tourist attractions). There are so many varities of plants and flowers as well as fountains and displays to see, it is best to take a couple days to explore it all. I know that they have horseback riding as well but haven't done that.
I spent many a weekend at this pool while in high school. It has a great location, clean facilities and friendly people who work there. It doesn't ever get too loud or full of boisterous kids acting up and there is a nice snack bar with a good selection.
I went to this place with my family and had a really fun time. The games are fun and the prizes are pretty nice too when you earn the tickets which is what I usually like to do at those places. It is clean and not smoke ridden or anything. Kids have a great time here and it is fun to go with them and teach them how to play the games in order to win the prizes.
This is a classic skating rink in every sense of the word. I went a couple times with huge church groups and had a lot of fun with the lighting changes and the different activities they have especially for groups. The rental skates aren't terribly old and the people working there seem to know what they are doing.
I like this dollar store a lot, mainly for the inexpensive yet quality cleaning materials for sale. You pay $3 for a mop and bucket where at Target or something you'd pay 3 times that. I also found a storage bowls set for $3 there. I'd seen the exact same set at Bed Bath and Beyond for $12. A definite find for every day household items that you don't want to spend a lot on.
I had a coupon for this place to get a basic car wash for $8 including vaccuuming the inside which is important to me. They did a good job, there weren't streaks on the outside. I think they could have spent a tad more time on the vacuuming but I guess I got what I paid for. At least the place didn't have a line.
I had a horseback riding incident while I was in Utah and this was the nearest hospital. I was amazed at how empty the emergency room was. I was seen by a doctor immediately, xrays were taken and given to me as well as a perscription. The nurses were friendly too and I was in and out in 45 minutes - unheard of for me, I live in New York.
