I have used this company to create name badges for the past three years. The turn around is not too bad. The engraver comes in on Wednesdays to complete the jobs. They offer a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from. They also do name plates, plaques, awards, exterior and interior signs.
If you do not get to see a production, at least try to make it downtown to see the building. It is really awesome. The productions that these people put on are fabulous. My all time favorite was when they did Annie. Currently they are doing It's a Wonderful Life and I bet that is great as well.
Ushers Ferry Historic Village is a neat place to visit. You want to be sure and go with there is something going on there. There are thirty buildings in this village set in 1903. This is before indoor plumbing and electricity. The general store does have trinkets you can purchase. We bought a wooden flute and a patch that says Ushers Ferry. Its fun to see what life was like during this time period. They have people who are dressed in the periods clothing too.
This is a store you may not think to visit. Its located in the African American Historical Museum. There are some really neat African items you can purchase in the Nikee Store. They have hand made jewelry, books about Africa, African drums, many sculptures and art pictures you can purchase.
G.O.T. stands for Great Outdoor Traditions. This is a locally owned business here in Cedar Rapids. They carry outdoorsy items like hiking, fishing, hunting stuff. They have bows, arrows, fishing poles, tackle, warm clothing, scouting gear. If you are not sure, just go in and ask. Plenty of parking around back. The building has been newly remodeled and quiet easy to locate what you want.
