Longfellow Elementary School
I used to live a short distance from this school a few years ago. Those I know, who send their children there are very happy with this school. The children get along well and the teachers are very kind and helpful to all. My friends say that the would recommend this school to others, if they are looking for a school in their area. It is just one block off Lake street and 30th Avenue.
Jonathan General
I really enjoy shopping at Jonathan's General store. My daughter and I shop there a number of times a year, especially at Christmas time! There are so many beautiful gifts that can be bought there, many of them unique in their own way. You can also get some things personalized. The price is a little high, but many times this is the only place with the items we are looking for. If you have not shopped there yet, I would highly recommend this store to you. Enjoy your shopping.
Mora Housing Authority
This senior's building is right next to Wood Crest Manor and is run by the same people. The apartments are the same and the manager runs both of them. This building is kept extremely clean, just like Wood Crest, so it is always so nice to go and visit. This senior's building is located just west of highway 65. It is easy to get to once you know where Bean Ave. is. Here is another great place to look at, if you are looking for senior housing. Mora is a nice small town also.
Woodcrest Manor Senior Apartments
This is a lovely senior's building just west of highway 65 that runs through Mora, MN. This senior's bldg. was my parents home for 20 years. The manager and caretakers are excellent workers and keep this building spotless, to say the least. There are three senior's buildings in a semi circle. If you are looking for senior housing and want a small town atmosphere, this is the place to go. My parents had a one bedroom apartment which consisted of a sit in kitchen, a nice size living room, a nice size bedroom and a bathroom. Most of the residents were nice and friendly. They were very happy there, and I am sure that you would be too.
Myers M C Dc
A number of years ago, my husband hurt his back and could hardly walk. I took him to this chiropractor for an adjustment, after which he walked out of the office without pain. He did not have to go back for a second adjustment either. Dr. Myers is very gentle and caring. I would recommend this chiropractor for your aches and pains. I think that you too will like Dr. Myers. Enjoy your relief
Gran Itasca Clinic & Hospital
This clinic is just a few blocks south of main street (highway 2) and just east of highway 169. There is a lot of parking, to make it easier for you. A number of my family members have been patients there including me. We always received good care and the doctors and the nurses were always gentle with us. If you have an emergency do not be afraid to go to Gran Itasca Clinic or Hospital. You will be well taken care of.
Acheson Tire Inc
This company kept people in tires back during the second world war. They re-capped tires for most everyone. It is a great tire place where they sell tires for cars as well as trucks of any size. We also bought inner tubes from them years ago. You can always get a good deal on tires here. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you need a tire or two or four, I would highly recommend that you check Acheson Tire before you buy elsewhere.
Greenway High School
Oh, the memories that I have for graduating from Greenway High School some years back. It is located on the main street of Coleraine, MN. It is quite large but so friendly. The teachers were always ready to help you in anything you did not understand. Students are brought to Greenway by bus. The bus trip was always fun also. If you are wondering which high school to send your children to, I would highly recommend Greenway High School. Enjoy!
Itasca Community College
I attended Itasca Community College years ago and enjoy the experience and the classes. The prices are somewhat less than bigger colleges. Books are never cheap either, unless you could buy used ones. I know that things must be even better than when I went there, but I would highly recommend trying it for yourself. The staff were always helpful and I had a good experience. Enjoy the journey!
St Josephs Catholic School
We would go to mass at St. Joseph's each weekend that we went to our cabin, just north of Grand Rapids. They have masses on Saturday evenings and again on Sunday. The priest and the people are very friendly. There is enough parking because they use the parking lot and the street. St. Joseph's is a beautiful older church just north of main street (highway 2). I would recommend you visiting this church and possibly becoming a member.
