If your watch ever needs a battery, go to this location at Valley River. They don't charge much and the service is fast. It is much cheaper than buying a whole new watch. Good mall location.
Eugene Toy & Hobby
I enjoy shopping at Eugene Toy & Hobby for its historic background. It's been in Eugene forever and many people know of it. Their selection is average, as the store is fairly small. Good location downtown.
Willow Hair
I went to South City Salon for the first time recently, as I had a coupon for 20% off. I thought it would be a large salon, but there was only 1 girl working that day. Their prices are decent for the quality of work. It did take a while though, at 3 hours for color and a cut. I do recommend though.
Sunsational Tanning Salons
If you have a coupon to Sunsational, which I did, I'd suggest using it here. However, they will try to re-sell you time in the beds, but I wouldn't. The beds aren't very clean and the staff is always in a rush it seems. They clean the beds right before you arrive, which looks like they don't do a complete job. Plus I've had to wait over 10 minutes when I had an appointment.
Juliens Custom Tattoos
I've gone to Julien's twice now, and both times had a great experience. I believe there are several tattoo artists at this establishment (which is on 13th by the way--not Crescent). But ask for Julien, as he is a great artist. Prices are negotiable which I like.
Peacehealth Medical Group
My mother had a surgery at Sacred Heart (Peacehealth), and she received the best care I think she could have gotten at a mid-sized hospital. The staff was real friendly and readily available. Only downside is the noise, as they have 2 patients per room and not much space for visitors.
Zany Zoo Pets LLC
If you don't like big chains for pet stores, I'd recommend Zany Zoo. They have bulk food for your pets, and give you personal assistance that the chains don't have. They also have a doggie day care center.
The Kiva
If you are looking for odds and ends at the grocery store, come here. They have all kinds of organic and rare items, including Jewish foods and a wide selection of rare cheeses. It is rarely busy which I like, but the parking is a little tight.
Coburg Inn Event Center
I attended a wedding at the Coburg Inn last year, and it was mediocre to say the least. The area where they hold the service is on the lawn in the backyard of the event center. It is small and right on the street. There are 2 main rooms for dining, and the place just looks old and run down. I don't think it is that cheap either, so I'd look elsewhere for a wedding. Plus, the parking is very bad in a gravel area across the street.
Laguna Surf & Sport
I went into Laguna Surf & Sport with a good recommendation, but found out that wasn't the case. The items are far more expensive than most surf shops, even high end ones. The selection of clothes is meager and the store is fairly small. I'd try other surf shops along the coast, which are everywhere.
