There was an advertisement for an open house at a new preschool in the Gilbert area. We decided to check it out and were very pleased with what we saw. The staff was very friendly and the prices for the half day sessions seemed very reasonable. We signed my daughter up during the open house and she really enjoys herself.
The preschool itself is different from others I have seen before, in that it is located in a strip mall and is one big open room when you walk in the front door. There are several different "stations/centers" set up and they are divided by short bookshelfs so you can see everything that is going on. Some of the stations include: Writing Center, Library, Arts & Crafts, Building Blocks, Puzzles, Dress-Up, Playground equipment (indoors), etc.
We also liked that the classes were multi-age (included children ages 3-5) so our daughter could interact with kids not only her age but older as well.
I attended TechSkills for Oracle training to increase my knowlege/skills for my current job. I was disappointed that I didn't receive much guidance from the staff. Also, at this location, there was just one small lab environment and it was always very unorganized.
The tuition was also very expensive, (luckily my employer paid for this training).
Based on my experience with this company, I would not recommend this program to others.
I attended Mesa Community College for my first two years of post-high school education. I was impressed by several of the professors and liked the smaller class size. The tuition was very reasonable compared to a university as well. In addition, my credits were easily transferred to a University where I finished my bachelor's degree.
I took two of my suits to Barbara Anns Alterations to have the sleeves shortened on the jackets and the pants taken in. The staff was very nice.
The alterations took a little longer than I thought they would and the price was quite a bit higher than I would have expected. I probably would try another alterations place in the future.
Over the past two months, I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Lake Havasu City, for business a few times. There are a few features that stand out, but otherwise just an average hotel. The decor and rooms were pretty modernized and not run down. They offer free high speed Internet (too bad not wireless) and a decent hot breakfast buffet.
I have taken my daughter to this Kiddie Kandids studio a few times for her FREE birthday picture. The staff has always been really great and the photos have turned out really good.
My daugther seems to enjoy herself while we are there and she has thrown fits at other portrait studios when trying to get her picture taken.
I have been pleased each time we have gone and would recommend it to others.
I recently took my 2-1/2 year old daughter to Toy Town Playcenter in Awhatukee. She had a real fun time. There is a little town set up with dress up clothes and hands-on themed activities to do in each "building". There was a pretend grocery store, dress shop, fire station, Domino's Pizza, house, movie theater, car shop and a school. Also, behind the 'town' there is a bounce castle. There are also several toys for smaller infant/toddlers to play with.
There is a snack area where parents/caregivers can sit and observe their children while they are playing. You can purchase food & drink including pizza (recommend Tuesdays since you can get Medium Pizza for $5).
It is open during the week and is available for private parties evenings and weekends.
I recently took my 2-year old daughter to this dentist's office on the recommendation of my pediatrician. We called and were able to schedule an appointment very quickly.
The office is decorated in a train theme and there is a train set up for the kids to play with and a lot of children's books for the kids to read while they wait.
The staff was very friendly and the dentist (Dr. Sherrill) was really good with my daughter. I was a little concerned since it was her first time and even I have a hard time getting her to open her mouth. They rewarded my daughter with a sticker and a prize when she was done.
My OB/GYN recommended this office for my ultrasound when I was pregnant with my daughter and again during this current pregnancy. They are now located in a new office that is very modern and nice. I arrived a little early for my appointment and was seen right after my paperwork was completed. The ultrasound technician was very friendly and did an excellent job making us comfortable. We were able to bring in a VHS or CD-R to get a recording of the ultrasound. We also got a few pictures to take home. I would definitely recommend this office to other Moms-to-be.
Freestone Recreation Center has several different activities. There is a rock climbing wall, raquetball courts, workout & aerobic rooms, indoor basketball courts, sauna & steam rooms as well as a game room.
My daughter recently took a ballet class through the Town of Gilbert Parks & Recreation department at this facility. We were both very happy with the classes provided here. In addition, it was a definite plus that the facility was always nice and clean and located next to a large park.
