When I got married recently, the first place that I wanted to register was Williams Sonoma. They have so many great little kitchen gadgets and their products are excellent quality.
I went in to the store to close out my registry after the wedding and got 10% any purchase that I made that day, even on sale items. I have always been 100% happy with anything that I have purchsed from Williams Sonoma and will continue to be a customer!
I love to knit and crochet and when I came to Las Vegas I was afraid that there wouldn't be anywhere to find specialty yarn. I'm glad that I found Gail Knits. They have a beautiful selection of high end yarns and knitting supplies. The store is small, but they pack in a lot of yarn! Prices are a bit high, but thats the name of the game with fancy yarns.
We have had a great experience with Petland. We purchased our miniature dachshund, Lola, there last September. She is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever seen.
I must say that this is the cleanest and nicest pet store that I have ever been to. The puppies are healthy looking and SO CUTE!
The sales people will hand over those cute little puppies and let them work their magic! It is so hard not to leave with one of the darling puppies!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, answering any and all questions we had. They even have a financing option because those puppies aren't cheap!
We bought a Lovesac a few weeks ago and we absolutely love it! It is so comfy and it was worth every penny! I suggest that if you are in the market for a Lovesac that you visit the store in the Desert Passage at the Aladdin instead of the one at the Galleria.
The staff at the Galleria was pleasant, but not at all helpful. (I mean come on, we're about to spend $400 on a beanbag!) They answered our questions in the briefest manner possible and seem more concerned with the bunches of mall rats lounging in the store than us as paying customers.
The Desert Passage staff was much more attentive. I definitely recommend them over the other location.
I have been to Euphoria several times to have my eyebrows waxed. They are very professional with clean facilities and a private waxing room. I feel very comfortable and they always do a great job. There are places you can go that may be a little cheaper, but I am willing to pay a little more for a clean, professional place that does a wonderful job.
I have been to the Town Center Lounge several times for drinks with friends. The bar area is nice and they have good happy hour specials.
I was disappointed when I went in for lunch. The food was just ok (I've had really good munchies at the bar though). And the service pretty much stunk...but I hear this is not the norm.
Overall, I think its a great place for drinks, just ok for food.
I love to go into Park Avenue Pets and look around. They have tons of super cute pets clothes, carriers, leashes and collars. They can be kind of pricey, but I love to spoil my dog!
They also have some of the most adorable animals for sale that I have ever seen. I spoke to an employee (who I assume was some sort of manager) and I could tell how much she loved those animals. She talked about how they screen potential buyers before selling them a puppy. Its nice to know that someone really cares about those little guys!
I would buy one of everything they carry if I could afford it!
PROS: super cute pet accessories
CONS: sometimes a little pricey
There are so many choices when it comes to places to go tanning in Las Vegas. As a newcomer, I didn't know where to start, so I chose Aussie Tanning because they were on my way home from work.
I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly and explained all of my tanning options. They made recommendations and answered all of my questions. The price seemed pretty average as far as tanning salons go.
They do not have a ton of beds, so sometimes you may have to wait. They do have at least three different types of beds, so they will probably have something to suit your needs.
PROS: friendly staff
CONS: small number of beds
We first went to Claim Jumper on the recommendation of my cousin. I never have thanked him for that!
The menu is big and selection is great. Our food had always been very good.
The wait for a table is often pretty long, so one of our favorite things to do is grab an open table near the bar. The menu is abbreviated, so there isn't everything on it, but there is more than enough to keep us happy. We like to go for drinks with friends and a casual dinner. We are never disappointed
PROS: great atmosphere, good food
CONS: long waits for a table
My husband and I are fairly new to the Las Vegas area and are always in search of great local restaraunts. We had been to the Lodge at Tenaya for drinks before and enjoyed the "lodge" atmosphere, so we decided to try it for dinner.
We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the selection on the menu. It wasn't overly busy, but there was only one waitress on duty and she was running around like crazy trying to take care of all of her customers. In spite of this, our food was out quickly.
We will definitely go again!
PROS: large selection, good food quality
CONS: under staffed
