Very clean and the food was great. It's a nice place to go every once in a while and splurge. Not someplace you should go every week, as it is quite a bit of food and most people don't stop till they can't eat anymore, which isn't that great. The steaks are awesome!
Don't go here unless you absolutely have to have something. The prices are not good and they don't have a lot-- it's a small shop. It is a nice little store but during times like these, it's best that you save your money and go to Kroger. They have good fresh-brewed coffee and the people inside are very nice and helpful and they have a few specialty items like bean coffee that is really good. The sandwiches and cakes are good and so is the deli. But you should only go if you want to spend a few more bucks than you need to.
The employees are helpful and the prices are great. If gas prices weren't so high I'd go in there and impulse buy pretty often. There is someone always nearby to help you with something and most are very knowledgable about a certain area of the store and if they aren't, they know who is.
They didn't nearly have as many books as I'd hoped (no criminal justice books at all!), but the prices are way better and the people are very helpful inside. I got my books and papers in under a minute and was on my way back home very quickly. It took me longer to chain up my bike than it did to get supplies.
The food is spectacular and they are very welcoming, however I wish their greets weren't so long. Most people just want to order, you know? A lot patrons seem kind of rude which is unfortunate, but overall, this restaurant is great and I hope to return there often.
PROS: Nice people, nice atmosphere, sports, great food
CONS: Other customers can be somewhat obnoxious at times
This place is usually right on the spot and the experience is usually great, but tonight I think our server was just a little tired or something. It was no biggie, but we just rarely saw them and our drinks weren't really refilled a whole lot even though we downed them pretty fast. The food however was top-notch as usual, and we got our filling. Our server was nice but just a little slow for the night.
I don't know if we just happened to have the more 'quality' staff there Tuesday night (the 17th of August), but they were courteous, spoke clearly and politely. Our food didn't take very long and the place was clean, for the most part. I have read some reviews and had been "warned" that this place was a disaster, but nevertheless, being a new resident of Richmond for school and looking for a Long John Silver's, I wanted to try it out. I thought it was excellent-- the chicken and fish were steaming hot, the way I like it. The fries were hot and crispy, but I guess they could have been crispier just a tad. I liked having malt vinegar at the table too, a great touch and great for the fries. The hushpuppies weren't as hot as I'd wanted them to be, but they still tasted good. I don't know if maybe I was just too tired to taste the horrible things everyone had told me about, or if this place had just really picked up it's act, but I had a good experience here. It was empty though, and after experiencing some of the best fast food I've ever had in Richmond, I really hope that this place doesn't shut down. I'll be back often! The KFC half of the restaurant is also good; the Snackers sandwiches were great and the seasoned fries were delicious.
They keep a good amount of things stocked for a semi-long drive right before I'm going to hit 95. Drinks, small snacks, gum, things like that. Stop here for a quick fix, but I'd say wait till you get closer to Lake Ridge to get gasoline.
These guys go the extra mile! Their staff is helpful and seems to know what's going on and how to do things. Everything is sorted in a way that is easy to find and the prices really are good. Stop shopping at Wal-mart and go to places like Staples! The checkout was fast and done with. I was asked while browsing if I needed help with anything by one male employee, I told him I wanted this certain kind of desk and he said to hold on for just a second and he came out within 2 minutes with the box for the desk and asked if it was still what I wanted. I took a second look and bought it, and he helped me take it to the register, then outside into my car. Very helpful and friendly. I hope this place continues it's streak, because I will be here often-- I go to school in Richmond now but when I come home to Chantilly, I hope to be able to get more supplies and furniture from this particular location!
The bartenders are great people! The place itself is small but welcoming. The music is sometimes louder than it probably should be, but that is hardly a reason to complain about this place. The prices aren't that bad and they sometimes have live acts to spruce up some evenings.
