I wanted to rate the Humph lower than I did, but I couldn't bring myself to say "wouldn't recomend" about the place where the Twins play. I love going to Twins games, and I would love them even more if when I was watching them I was outside. The Twins need a new stadium horribly, the dome is NOT a ball park. At the very least, it's a football stadium. Let the Vikings play in that dump and get the Twins a new ball park!
I actually dealt with Coldwell Banker at Grand Ave when leasing my current apartment. I had never thought to work with a real estate agent to get an apartment before, though I'm not quite sure why. John at Coldwell has been extremely helpful and great to work with, and I would suggest giving him a call when you are in the market.
My ex-roommate drug me to this comic store on SE Washington in Minneapolis once, and while there wasn't really anything that interested me there (not a comic book fan), I could tell that it seemed like a good store. They had shelf upon shelf of comics, and seemed to be more than willing to try to get you anything they didn't have in stock. My ex-roommate was pleased with the prices and selection, and he was a big comic nerd ;). Check them out if you need to get some comics.
The same J Crew you know from many other places, but a more pleasant vibe provided by Grand Avenue. Enjoy a nice walk outside down Grand for a drink or a snack, and relish in the fact that you aren't stuck inside a giant shopping complex. The clothes are what you'd expect from J Crew: A few nice items, some very plain looking items, and high pricetags (in perspective with what they offer, at least)
If you like shopping at the Gap chain of stores, spare your body and mind the trip to the mall of america(or any other mall for that matter) and try hitting up their uptown location. Seems just as good as any Gap store, but the atmosphere of the location is infinitely better than being in a mall. It almost feels like it's not part of a major chain!
Located on Hennepin Ave in Uptown, Urban Outfitters is a trendy fashion outlet that also features small sections for home furnishings. The womens section is significantly larger than the mens, but some good clothes can often be found in both sections.
Specializing in handmade, 'boutique' gear, you won't find your traditonal Gibsons and Fenders here. If you are looking for a handmade USA or Import guitar that is a bit more than average, you're looking in the right place. High prices on many items, but if you are in the market for high end gear, take a look.
This Hollywood Video in West St. Paul seems to have the weakest selection of all the Hollywoods in the area. They don't have a lot of movies that I don't really think of as that hard to find, and what they do have, they usually have very few copies of.
don't bother hitting up this TCF location. Rarely am I ever there when there is not a huge line. I have waited over a half hour before, which is stupid on my part, as I could have just driven a few minutes south and went to the Highland Park location. Unless you already shop at Cub and it's convenient to have both there, I'd suggest a different location, such as the Highland Park bank.
This is by far my favorite of the TCF locations. It is the most convenient in my area, without the parking hassle of downtown or the annoyance of a Cub food location. They offer good customer service and many account options.
