Deli News
My husband, the deli king, loves Deli News. He says that the sandwiches are the closest to the ones we get on vacation in New York. I do love their potato salad and pickles, but I don't like to go when they are crowded, though my husband would take a newspaper and go any day of the week for their pastrami on rye.
Decor Art & Frame
The prices and selection at Decor Art & Frame are great. Everyone in our family has such different tastes, but we are all able to find affordable prints and art on canvas here. Even with a 6 year old daughter, we have space to maneuver comfortably through the aisles while shopping. I'm happy that they have frames geared toward children, because it's nice for our daughter to choose a frame she loves for that special picture.
The only con is that they are inside Grapevine Mills, and you have to carry your purchases with you, but the price is worth the temporary inconvenience.
A Trophy Co
My husband had a trophy made for our 6 year old daughter. When she graduated kindergarten our teacher informed us that she had tested our daughter for reading up to the 2nd grade level. We were all so proud of our daughter that my husband called to have a trophy with faceplate made for our daughter. We were very satisfied, and he had surprised me with a trophy too for being such a great mom. I highly recommend A Trophy Company, because they were happy to accomodate my husbands unusual request and met their guaranteed deadline.
Kabloom The Power Of Fresh Flowers
My husband has suprised me with KaBloom's flowers many times. They call to see if I'm home and minutes later, there is someone at my doorstep with a gorgeous bouquet.
Their arrangements are very conservative, but nice. They don't have outrageous arrangements, but simple, classy bouquets.
Their vase selection is nice too, even though you can have the flowers delivered in a box and use your favorite vase at home.
Once I received Gerbera Daisies that died within two days. They replaced the whole dozen.
Very satisfied.
Move Studio
I went to Move Studio for Pilates a few Summers ago. They offer so many classes that I was happy that they could meet my then demanding schedule while trying to lose baby weight. Other than doing pilates from videos at home, this was my first introduction. I didn't make it through the first class, because it was tough, but I did hang in there, and the instructor worked with me once she saw my dedication. If it wasn't so far away, that is where I would still be going.
Speed Queen Coin Laundry
When our washer was broke I took our laundry to Speed Queen. Their only real rule is "if you don't wash here, you can't dry here".
I used those giant washers at the front with some instruction from the old gentleman who keeps the place clean. I was very happy with how clean the clothes got, and the dryers were huge so the clothes dried really fast.
If you forget something, they sell detergent, bleach, and fabric sheets. They even give you big bags to put your clean laundry in if you forgot your basket.
Bibbentuckers
When we lived off of Cedar Springs Road, we used Bibbentuckers. They are so ritzy, and sometimes you need something more than the $1.29 dry cleaning. You get what you pay for, and they pay such detail to each individual garment. Nothing has ever come back less than superb. Also, you don't have to get out of the car, and you can't miss 'em with the blue and white stripes.
Pump It Up - The Inflatable Party Zone
We visited pump it up during the summer when you could pay admission for a brief time. As long as you have socks and meet the age requirement of 3 years old, you can have the best time.
Some of their inflatables are HUGE. You get that funny feeling in your tummy when you zoom down the slide. They also have a double-sided course, and you race each other to see who slides to the finish first. It's a fun place where parents can play with kids and get in a good cardio workout.
Their beverage machines have healthy beverage alternatives, which I really liked.
Lunar Mini Golf Llc
Lunar Mini Golf inside Vista Ridge Mall is bigger and better. They changed locations so that the course could be bigger. The balls and parts of the course are glow in the dark, and they sell all of the accessories (like necklaces, bracelets, etc.). My daughter likes the little kid putters, and we like the new bigger course.
Adventure Landing
Our 6 year old daughter loves Adventure Landing. When we pulled in and she saw the giraffe and the animals, she was very excited. My husband loved the bumper boats, and I thought that the course that we played was small but fun. The neat thing was the scenery.
