We love going to MAIN Event Lewisville. It's just off of 35 on the east side and you can't miss it. Visit their website for deals and specials.
Our favorite is disco night where they turn off the regular lights, turn on the blacklights and everything glows.
I've never been a fan of eating at the bowling alley, but their food is SOOOOO good. Trust me, you'll want to try the chicken finger basket and the pizza. YUM!
We also like the fact that bumper bowling automatically pops up (once it is set-up) for when it is our 6 year old daughter's turn to bowl. Adults can use this feature too.
PROS: Arcade, pool, food, bowling, laser tag
CONS: Sometimes the wait is 2 hours. Call in advance.
Whenever I need my designer shoe fix, i.e. Jimmy Choos, I head to the Off Saks outlet. On a good day you can find a pair of shoes w/no scuff marks and minimal wear for about 75% off the retail price.
The aisles are narrow, but the selection varies weekly.
PROS: Designer shoes for less.
CONS: Narrow aisles
Chicos is an ideal place to shop for a young mom like me. I can find staple clothing that I can mix and match with trendy accessories to stay current. At Grapevine Mills there is always a sale on something, and the staff is helpful once you learn how the sizing works.
PROS: Cute and comfy clothes.
I went into Urban Planet shopping w/my little brother and he was able to get 3 shirts and 2 shorts and a pair of sandals for less than $100.
The staff was cute and friendly, though a lot of the items won't be popular a year from now, for the investment it's a nice way to stay trendy without breaking the bank.
PROS: Hip clothes for good prices.
Our 6 year old daughter loves the Children's Place Outlet. They frequently have coupons and specials so that you get more clothes for your investment.
I see these clothes as a good investment, because of their quality they last through the normal wear and tear and washing while still looking pretty.
PROS: Frequent sales & coupons.
CONS: Sometimes the clothes aren't very current/trendy.
Children's Orchard is more upscale than a lot of other kids resale shops. Their clothes are clean and in like-new condition, and the little boutique is very organized.
They often have coupons, so check your clipper and use your frequent shoppers stamp card for additional discounts.
PROS: Super clean and sweet staff.
I took in some of my daughter's old toys. They were very selective taking only the gently used items and paid a premium for what they did take.
I'd like to say that I left w/lots of money, but by the time my offer was ready, I'd picked so much new stuff to buy.
I highly recommend this location and am a happy customer.
PROS: Buy and Sell gently used items.
CONS: Some clothes are stained...look very closely.
Hot Topic is appropriately named by selling items that are "hot now" and super trendy.
They have something for everyone, and no everything is not all goth. We've purchased tees and backpacks there for our 6 year old daughter. My husband and I love their quirky tees.
The staff is super sweet, and the clearance section is worth the stop. Nice location too.
PROS: Sweet staff.
CONS: Small spaces.
Covenant Church is bigger and more beautiful than ever; but don't worry. You will not get lost in the numbers. I have visited Covenant Church on and off for the past 4 years. Never once have I attended a service where someone didn't make eye contact, welcome me, and smile at me.
The church is non-denomination, and welcomes everyone...no matter your race. They also offer a Mundo de Fe service that is only in spanish.
The Children's Ministry is second best to none, and our 6 year old daughter loves to participate foregoing sitting in the main building being bored with the adult sermon.
The choir and band are EXCEPTIONAL! I love Covenant Church and Pastor Hayes and the staff.
PROS: Church for everyone.
Special Moments is a quaint little chapel to get married in located just west of Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville. The location is quite convenient and they are very easy to find, sitting on top a hill on the south side of Round Grove Rd.
My daughter-in-law is getting married in October, and we stopped in to view the chapel as an option. It holds 100 and is perfect for an intimate wedding. However, the reception area is not nice at all.
Also my daughter-in-law didn't want to stand in the gravel & dirt parking lot in her wedding gown.
