This is my other personal favorite library. The programs are not as great as they are in Frisco, and some of the staff is much less friendly and helpful but the selection of books is much better. The movie selection is VERY bad so if you want a movie, your best bet is to check the frisco library. My main anoyance with this library has been the times when there is a huge line of people waiting to get checked out and the librarian will stand up and leave to go get a cup of coffe or something. This happens quite often but there are also nice librarians to make up for it.
This is THE worst school any one in our family has ever attended. Whe ran into problems with teachers of all the family members enrolled and the principal was compleately unhelpful, going so far as to blame all the problems on our boys. We where not looking to spread blame, just trying to work out some issues they where having in school and it was a compleate mess. I have found the teachers of this school to be particulary bad, and the sense of school spirit that binds most school together is compleately unexistant. If you are moving to the Frisco area, I would strongly recomend living in the area of a different school; there are many other great choices in the neighboorhood.
This is THE most awesome city library I have ever lived near.
It's small, so there are not always quite as many books as there are in other libraries but a new (huge) library is under construction so all the books in storage will soon be comming out. My favorite thing about this library versus the other libraries I have been to is the kindness and helpfulness of the library staff. They are all very friendly and always willing to help. I also enjoy their wide selection of programs, storytelling for young children, movies for kids and teens, teen events and parties and adult book clubs. It has something for everyone, and the programs are oftem much more fun and creative than they are in the bigger libraries I have been to.
Four boys from our family have attended or are currently attending this school. They are very pleased for the most part with the teachers and we have always been pleased with the quick and helpful responses of staff when we have run into problems. The assistant principal in particular is awesome, we've run into some issues with bullying and she has responded quickly and helpfully to all our concerns. They have a LOT of programs such as carnivals and open houses at this school so the rest of the family can get to know each other's teachers and friends. If you will be moving to the Frisco area than moving around this area would be good if you are concerned about the education of your elementary school children.
This is not my favorite children's consignment shop, but it is also not at the bottom of my list. My main gripe with the place is the pricing on most things, a lot of things are priced much higher than I believe used childrens clothing should be priced. It's not expensive most of the time, it's just what you'd pay on unused cheap clothing or clearance rack items. The clothing here is generaly not play clothes, it is more upscale church going type clothing. They carry baby - size eight clothing. I have never had problems with the employees and they're always helpful. This is a great place to get kids clothes, if you don't mind slightly higher prices.
This is my absoloute favorite health food store in the area. If you are expecting an actual "farmers market" then this is not it. It is simply a health food store with very cheap (and delicious) preview. The decor is cute and creative, the employees are helpful and prompt and the selection of food is great!! This is a great deal smaller than the other health foods store in the area, but still about as big as the average grocery store.
I'll just start off by saying, I'm a bargain shopper; if it's on sale you've got my intrest. This is one of the reason I like resale shops so much. What you will get out of your shopping trip to Frisco Resale compleately depends on what point of view you have and what features are most important to you. If you are very picky about a store's decor then go somewhere else, the decor is crappy in a lot of places things are just jammed together. If this will bother you then find another resale shop, if on the other hand you don't care about that decor then your off to a good start. The thing I love most about Frisco resale is the diversity and compleate randomness of the items there. You never know what you will find, and if you don't mind getting your hands dirty theres a lot of trestures among the junk. There is however a LOT of junk you have to sort through to find good stuff. My favorite section of the whole store is the books, they are FANTASTIC!! I have found brand new books every time I go, hard backs .50 and paper backs .25. As far as I'm concerned its and awesome resale shop, as long as you have patience and don't mind sorting tresures from junk.
This is a great store! Just in case you don't know it is located at stone briar mall in frisco, just around the corner from Sears. The service here is usualy pretty good, you won't usualy get greeted at the door but if you have questions the employees are very polite and helpful. The prices here are AWESOME!! Some of the stuff is cheapo garbage but if you ignore that they have a great selection. This includes beauty products, toys, books, jewelry, electronics, and room decor. The computer games are usualy pretty old and useless but the other items are awesome deals at great prices. If you love low prices and cool "teenish" items than you'll love this store!
This is really not the best Claires I've been too. You are sometimes greeted as you walk in unless it's busy. If it is busy than you will most likely be compleately ignored until you are ready to check out, once you're ready to start shelling out cash they're all smiles and sunshine. For Pros the store in convenient because it's located at the mall, it's usualy pretty clean and they are pretty well stocked with most of the current jewelry.
This store is one of the less satisfactory locations I have been too. When you walk in the door you are not greeted or welcomed, and things tend to be somewhat messy. This is however an outlet mall, so the products are much cheaper. I can usualy get earings there for less than a dollar. If you are more intrested in price and you don't mind just passing service than this is a good store for you. If you don't mind paying 6 times as much for your jewelry and having good service than you won't be terribly impressed by this store.
