Dr. Nguyen is very kind and thorough. His prices are the best in the area (I researched it) and he offers free x-rays with a cleaning. That's a rare deal. His staff was also very nice. I got an exam the day after I called.
He doesn't torture you with constant small talk throughout the exam, but he was polite and expressed appropriate inquiries into my life. He explained his evaluation at the end of the cleaning.
He's also quite handsome!
PROS: Extremely thorough. Very nice doctor.
I was very pleased with this place. The decor is hip and was done with some care; note the dried flowers arranged against the bamboo. The food presentation was attractive, and the fish is very fresh. They treat nonfish dishes with respect too; chicken terriyaki comes with rice, salad, and fresh fruit. Service was friendly and cool.
I was a little disappointed with this spot. It has a classy look and makes for a nice date ambiance, but the food, although good, was not quite the quality the price would suggest. It is pricey. I was upset that my food came out spicier than I requested, and the papadan wasn't fresh.
PROS: the look, ambiance
I read reviews of this restaurant before choosing it, and they didn't lie: it's a gem. The food is surprisingly excellent, and the same goes for the prices. I had a glass of tasty Riesling for $3.50; their alcohol is cheap and good. The fried plantains with coconut icecream for dessert was well made and not greasy. Get your parking validated in one of the lots nearby.
I've explored many of the Richmond Indian food restaurants, and this is the one I always come back to. Their food is excellently made and totally affordable. Everything is fresh, especially the papadan and the nan. They cater to your level of spiciness and the service is sweet and attentive.
PROS: freshness, price
CONS: deliveries can take awhile
My favorite place for Indian food in a neighborhood with plenty of options. The meat is of decent quality, the sauces are exceptional, and the prices are reasonable. Service is unfailingly attentive and polite.
PROS: Great food and service
This place is 24 hrs, which is great. The service is not always polite, but not slow either. The food is a little more expensive than you'd expect for the quality. The brunch menu is a little limited, but the coffee is solidly good.
PROS: Always open
CONS: Brunch could be cheaper
