Flower World is located on acres and acres of beautifully manicured grounds. It is quite an experience to enter the store and see the unbelievable selection they carry- mostly of plants with a few garden tools and accessories. The prices are extremely low but this is not the place to go if you need a lot of assistance. The staff is tough to track down and they will not take the time to actually help you select plants (as they enjoy doing at Molbak's). Also when we went to the information desk we were treated so poorly by two staff members that we almost walked right out of the store.
I really enjoyed my membership at Rain, the gym is rarely crowded and is kept extremely clean. The equipment is state of the art and one never has to wait long for a machine. The classes vary and tend to have excellent variety. I did not find the staff to be particularly helpful or friendly. When I cancelled my membership I was charged an extra month in fees. After placing three phone calls to correct the problem, I finally had to submit a claim with my credit card company to get a refund.
I was a member of Redmond Athletic Club for quite awhile and was always treated extremely well by the staff. They took the time to learn each member's name and always greeted you with a warm smile. I also found the club to be extremely clean and never had to wait for equipment. The classes offer tremendous variety and the fees are extremely comparable to other clubs.
Molbak's is a wonderful store for experienced or novice gardeners, offering a tremendous selection of plants, flowers and gardening accessories. Everything is easily organized according to care (i.e. full-sun plants, shade plants etc..) and I have been consistently impressed with the level of knowledge of staff members eager to assist with any project.
During finals week at school I contracted a virus that was causing all sorts of problems on my computer. Beige Universe had it up and running within 48 hours- working into a holiday weekend at no extra charge. They also added additional virus protection software (at no charge) and the computer is running better now than ever before. I highly recommend their services.
I have always admired the beautiful displays in the window of Cicada. However once it was time to start looking for a wedding dress I was extremely disappointed. I made an appointment and came prepared to try on several dresses. Even though there was only one other patron in the store, and three staff members on hand, I was told they were too busy to work with me and that I was free to look around! I carried my own dresses to and from the dressing room and was not offered assistance one time! I did not find anything in store that suited me and attempted to ask the same staff member how frequently items change. She very rudely informed me that they keep the same dresses on hand for 6 months?! I still don't understand how the inventory only changes twice a year, yet the dresses featured in the window seem to change weekly.... Very disappointing experience.
The first sign that this might not be a good shopping experience is the fact that the front door is locked to patrons! One must buzz in and wait for a sales person to open the door. Although they appear to have a variety of dresses I was surprised at the limited colors available. Most dresses were a bright white, which is unflattering on most complexions. I was also very embarrassed that the sales person helping me insisted on standing at the dressing room door to "help" me with the dresses. There were other patrons wandering around and the curtain was open to completely expose me wearing nothing but my underware. I found the entire experience to be frustrating and humiliating.
Each time I have visited Dahlia Bakery I have been expecting wonderful warm breads or rich pastry and each time I have been disappointed! They frequently run out of virtually everything in the early afternoon and my recent Pain au Chocolat was dry and flavorless.
After visiting numerous stores on a hunt for the perfect bridesmaid dress, I found this store to be warm and welcoming (and even relaxing!) The staff was helpful and the dressing rooms are spacious with seating for any spectators to the shopping experience. The prices are slightly higher than some other stores, but the atmosphere and prompt service more than make up for it.
The owner of this small boutique in Bellevue was extremely helpful and spent a tremendous amount of time with me selecting the perfect dress. She was patient and professional and I was able to try on several dresses in a private dressing room (unlike many other shops I visited). Although the follow up service is not the most efficient, they offered the best price on the dress I chose. They were also polite and allowed me to make last minute changs on the order without any problems. I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment. Beware it can be a little challenging to get through the phone lines and they will often need to call you back. This is not the place for those that lack patience.
PROS: Excellent prices and friendly service
CONS: The store is consistently understaffed
