This is a great dry cleaning service. They have the best prices all around, very cheap for the same service. The asian couple who owns this place are very nice, they are willing to answer questions and are very attentative. The only downside is that its located within another area, so you miss it walking by it. They do awesome work for alteration and measurement. Highly recommended!
A fun place to check out the local tourism. This lovely octagon house has decorative arts of the Colonial and Federal periods. They have a varieities of stuff, including examples of American furniture, portraits, samplers and looking glasses; English and American silver; some English and Chinese ceramics; and Oriental rugs. Tons of history here! Beware, hours at the Octagon House is open to the public on the second Sunday and the second and fourth Thursdays of each month except January and is closed on holidays ( I made the mistake of coming on a Saturday!) Good people, who is very knowledable, and live in the house!!
Newly renovated this year (2005) this new marina market is better than ever! Lots of different rows of oriental and Hispanic food, all the same things you love, but cleaner, bigger and brighter! This store also has a deli within, which sell great food, and for every 10 dollar purchase, you can get a 1 dollar coupon for the deli! They also make fresh soy milk there! I love that! The service is usually very nice, many asian and Hispanic, so sometime no one understand, but if you tell them exactly what you want, they can normally point you in the right direction.
Midnight bowling and the special disco type/ where you play in the dark! Fun stuff here. The food is oily but good, the bowling is fun and the place is well kept. I didnt like the service that much, they arent very nice, but being the only bowling alley in Santa Cruz, beggers cant be chooser. Nice place, and bowling is fun.
Lots of organic food. Santa Cruz is the only city with multiple markets that sell organic food. This one is a little better than New Leaf, in that they have really nice service and being kind of small, that people are always willing to help and there is less of a line. Lots of bin of grains and other oils for sale also.
I like this place because the service here is the best in the city. They have these wonderful older Chinese women who are really nice and sweet! I love coming here and listen to them talk, and they are always willing to listen to your problems too! The food is a bit average, but the service here is top notch. Good design, with a dark area, give you a sense of privacy.
PROS: good service, quick food.
CONS: average chinese food.
This dentist is pretty good. Located in Downtown San Francisco, my first experience here was very good. The receptionist was bright and cheerful, and very knowledgeable about the insurance they carry. She wont lie and was willing to help me find the right one. The prices is average for this area, and the place is cleanly kept. Not much of a waiting room area, but it is nicely decorated.
PROS: accept insurance, good receptionist!
There are a couple of these office supplies store around here, but it is a local office supplies store. Very nice service, and depending on which of these stores you go to, some are better equipped then others. Very good staff, that knows their stuff about the place. Lots of varities of supplies, including but not limited to rubber stamps (specialty items) and stickers and general office supplies and even furniture at some stores. Support local Office Supplies Businesses. Average prices, similar to the normal prices of OFfice max or office depot.
This lovely place owned by a couple of Vietnamese women is a really nice place to get your nails, not only do they do manicures and pedicure giving you the royal treatment, having not one but two or three people taking care of you! There is no harsh smell of acrylic here, it is open and airy, very nice place, that specializes in SILK WRAPS AND GEL NAILS. They do wonderful work, and it is the best place to come during a lunch break!
The natural food place in santa cruz, this place has a whole lot of food that are organic. Not only fresh fruits and vegtable, but also organic boxed food. They have a small bakery in here that makes wonderful chocolate cakes. The workers are not that helpful. The people are ok, and some of the food is very over rated and over-price. Located right in the center of downtown, the place make great food (premade food), at a premium price.
