We attended a friend's daughter's party here. It seemed to be very fun for the kids, not as fun for the adults as the facility seems to be geared for kids.
I disliked that once you paid your entrance fee, you could not leave the facility without repaying the fee. I suppose it is their perogative, and it is posted, it just seems to be a policy that is geared to fleece their customers.
The food was typical skating rink food: expensive, tolerable, and skimpy.
This bowling alley is great fun! We tended to go during the "rock and bowl" times where there were open lanes (this alley seems to host a lot of leagues). Always lots of staff, the building is clean and seems to be well maintained. The food is excellent and the bar is run efficiently. The alley also has a vast selection of both shoes and balls for those who don't have their own.
Great store for selection!
Many different types and styles of paper, great for scrapbooking, homemade cards, etc. I purchased a bit of paper here while I was in school for various projects and reconstructions for my architectural design courses. Parking is a bit difficult, but the helpful staff and the selection of papers makes it very worth the cost (of parking). The product prices themselves are nothing outlandish.
This convenience store has better than your average selection of beers and wines, and a vast selection of liquors. They also sell beer making kits and products, which I have not seen elsewhere in town. They also have a large selection of cold beverages (soda, water, juices, etc).
I've been impressed with the courteous staff who always have a smile for their customers, and are extremely helpful.
The selection of "uh oh I forgot" foods is a little bit limited, and is pricey; however, that's pretty much the norm for this type of store and I wouldn't hold it against them!
I've been to this restaurant many times; my advice is to skip it for banquets or large groups (over 15 persons) because they seem to lack both the waitstaff and kitchen capacity to handle it.
My hockey league's end of year banquet was here; the service was absolutely unacceptable. Two waiters for the banquet room; there were nearly 60 persons in attendence. The last tables were still waiting for their entrees while the first tables were eating dessert! It was faster to walk downstairs to the bar than to wait for a drink; not only that, the bar didn't attempt to double bill, and apparently it was confusing enough in the banquet room upstairs that it was happening. I had one "Grasshopper", I received CC bills for TWO. Nobody else in the room had one.
Dinner for two or for a family, on the other hand, seems to be done very well here. Service is prompt, the food is good for the price, and the staff is very polite and courteous.
PROS: Great for dinner
CONS: Not good for banquets
My family has a reunion here annually. Every year, I am impressed by the cleanliness of the park itself as well as the restroom facilities and the locker rooms.
The park has a water park, a picnic area and boat launch, and a nature area. All are enjoyable areas, with easy to access paths and facilities.
Very easy to find, and very reasonable parking rates.
I've been very impressed with this museum/institute every time I've had the chance to visit. I enjoy the visiting exhibits as well as the "home" exhibits.
The most recent visit was for the Van Gogh exhibit. It was very thorough and I found it to be very educational as well.
Parking is a bit difficult, but can be found for a reasonable price. Wheelchair access is no problem; my grandmother was in a wheelchair while we were there for the Van Gogh exhibit and she and my aunt were accomodated by the staff without complaint or trouble.
We've used Proper Framing many times over the previous years and have always been more than satisfied with the results. They are very knowledgable about the industry as well as what can and cannot be done. The staff is very helpful and creative, and can take one simple thing in a photograph and run with it.
They are very true to their estimates, use high-quality materials, have excellent workmanship, and have the work completed on time.
I have to commend CM's staff for their honesty, their knowledge of computers, and their willingness to help me (two-fold reasons).
They were extremely honest in that they told me up front that my computer (which was ancient) might not be worth fixing, but that they would examine it, provide an estimate for each option, and let me decide what to do with it.
They did exactly that, and it was determined that the motherboard had been "fried" during a power surge; it shouldn't have happened, as I had it on a surge strip, but I'd had an upgrade done by a private party and he'd jumpered something incorrectly.
They provided me with a statement of exactly what was wrong for my insurance company, if I chose to submit it.
The second portion of the helpfulness for which I must commend them: I was backed-into while attempting to pull out of their lot. An employee saw what happened, called the police, and sat with me (I was very shaken as the woman in front of me was screaming as if it was my fault; never mind she'd thrown her car in reverse and hit the gas hard enough to send me from a stop 8' backwards!) until my roommates arrived to get me. There was no major damage done to my car, but the actions of this company's employees reflect extremely well on them. They didn't have to make sure I was alright, give the police a statement, or call friends to get me!
The Saturday morning before all my papers were due (they were due on Tuesday), I turned on my somewhat ancient and odd-ball PC. Or tried to, anyways. Nothing happened. And of course, at that time, U of M was on Macs, not Windows PC's.
In a panic, I tried to find someone, anyone, who could fix my computer. The computer repair places on campus were booked solid; after calling around, I found one that I knew I could at least walk to and from. I lugged my computer there, they diagnosed the problem (the fan in the power supply died, it shut itself down to prevent damage) and repaired it by 5 p.m. on Monday. I picked it up, printed my papers, and passed all my midterms.
They were reasonably priced for a student budget, relatively easy to find, very easy to work with, and very professional!
