Piggly WIggly has some very good prices on lots of things. The have the cheapest potatoes in town. Great people that are very friendly and a very good selection of meats. They have a weekly sale but they also offer a one day sale on Thursday with really low prices. I would recommend you go to PIggly Wiggly if you haven't it's not just a funny name.
American Shoe Shop is the only place in town that offers Red Wing boots. They have a layaway plan which is rare these days. They also offer shoe repair. It's a great place to go with very friendly and helpful employees. It's a family owned business so they really care about having a great reputation. A+ business.
Anderson's is probably one of the most well known places in Empora. They have been around forever. They not only offer a pharmacy but they have just about anything else you may want to purchase. They have candles, flags, etc. Not to mention they have a small diner inside also. It's literally a one stop shop and eat. I highly recommend Anderson's to anyone in need of a good pharmacy.
For years my family has used Quality cleaners they are very trusting and caring with your items and I have never had any problems with any services I have had done there. The prices are comparable to the other cleaners in the area. Great place to deal with. You will not be diappointed in their services.
I don't think I would do business with Quality if they were almost giving the cars away. I have a friend who really go Who Dooed here. When they went to the owner to complain he simply said "hey Business is business" He could have cared less that his employees had basically stole something from a customer. I recommend you go anywhere else but here for your next car purchase.
The Cinema isn't the nicest place in the world. But I am completely happy with it, where else can you go to the movies for $2, that's the matinee price as well as the kids prices all the time. Adult tickets are only $4 regular. You can get a drink and large popcorn for less than $4. I would take this place over the high dollar theaters anyday.
The Public library offers a lot of activities for kids in the area. they have story time twice a week and it's free to the public. They also have a nice assortment of books to check out if you have a library card. The librarians are very nice and helpful. The building was renovated a few years back and looks very nice.
I have never actually put one of my kids in Cheer Unlimited but I know a lot of people who have and they really enjoy it. They have teams that compete and seem to be very good at what they do. I believe the instructors were cheerleaders in high school and college as well. Great place to take the kids to learn cheer and tumbling. The prices I believe are very reasonable if they are not competing.
I took my daughter to Dr. Ingram years ago and I was never very comfortable with her. She is probably a great doctor but I never felt very welcomed and she was never very nice. When I took my daughter they were located in a small office with not much room , she has since opened a new office and should have lots more room. Pediatricans are very important in the community and I never would say she's not a good doctor but just not very friendly.
Ed's offers shoe repair as well as other things like satin shoes that can be dyed to order. The people at Ed's are very nice and helpful. I believe they also have a bridal rental place in business along with the shoe reapir. It's like a one stop shop for any wedding or special occasion. Go by and see what they have to offer.
