I went to the grand opening of the new museum, and can't say enough good things about it. The exhibits are wonderful and nicely spaced out within the museum. I loved the furniture on display, as well as the clothing. I also was amazed at the quality of the food at the museum cafe, especially at such low prices! The food is really really good. The museum shop is top notch too.
This bookstore is pretty large and has a great selection of Japanese magazines and books. Since I can't read Japanese, I just like to browse the aisles and look at pictures and stationary. They do have some English books about Japan too. Great location inside of the Japantown center as well.
I mostly go here for their entire wall that's filled with Asian snacks and candies. They have a huge selection of Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian snacks at great prices. I also love the cold drink selection in the back. They have many types of my favorite- aloe vera. They also sell lots of other foods and dishware, etc.
I stayed in a suite at the Venetian for a bachelorette party, and had a fabulous time. The room was beautiful and everyone was so friendly, especially the concierge that helped us with event tickets and VIP passes to various clubs. The restaurants in the hotel are also some of the best in the city.
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that was held here last weekend. The inside of the hotel is beautiful and ballroom is really nice. The staff here was very helpful and accomodating and everything went very smoothly. They had a very nice cocktail hour in the hotel and the waiters were on top of everything. The outside view of the bay and San Francisco is stunning as well.
