Ok, for starters this is an ALL outlet mall, meaning you will get some fantastic deals. They have everything from small shops to large department stores. Find all of your name brands for far less! They also have a food court and some great restaurants - find what you like at a price you can afford. In addition to great shopping and places to dine, the mall can provide entertainment as well! They have tons of events for all ages, and promotions are abundant. If you have children, bring them and let them ride the carousel, or play at the playground, or do one of the many other fun things. While you are at it sign them up for the kids' club where they can participate in tons of fun and free activities. Supermall has something for everyone!
Paul makes some mean burgers! Hand cut fries accompany most of them as well. The burgers are made to order, and there are so many different choices! Unique to traditional. In addition to burgers, there are also asian food choices as well. The prices are very reasonable. Paul's is located right in downtown Burien, and parking is free. The restaurant is quieter, cozy, and smoke free.
While every school these days has its problems, and Mount Rainier is no exception to that, MRHS is much better than most in the area. The staff is qualified, and cares for the students. While MRHS is not drug or thug free (I don't know of a local high school that is) they are much better than the others. The school offers extra curricular programs, including sports and other after school programs. If you have a choice, and are near here, this is a great option.
Seattle Christian School is a wonderful place for any child! It is a private Christian school, and the difference between it and public school is amazing! In addition to the general curriculum that all schools teach, this school also adds character training! Kids can get reinforced at school what you are trying to teach them at home. Ample opportunities for children and parents alike. The staff is more than wonderful. They truly care about these kids and do everything they can do educate them mentally and spiritually. The only setback is that SCS is HIGHLY expensive. If you can afford it, go for it! If not try asking about their financial aid options!
This particular Elephant Car Wash is not worth your time or money. I know some of the other locations offer services. However, full service washes are not available at this location. They can only wash your car. The tough part for me to deal with is that for only washing and towel drying your car, they want $8.50!! For a non-full service that is a terrible price! For less than $2 at the gas station down the street you get the same thing, minus the towel dry. In addition, the time I went, the two employees were acting smug and unprofessional. Do not bother with this location, if you are going to spend money, go to one of the locations that can do it right - soft cloth wash, interior vacuum, dash dusted, windows cleaned, etc! And the other locations will do it without attitude and with a smile!
I received a check from someone who banks at Key Bank. The check was from their Keybank account. I figured the fastest way to cash the check would be to go to Keybank and let them cash their own check. I was wrong. They wanted me to pay them $10 to cash one of their own checks! I have never heard of such a thing! I will never step foot in that bank again, as it is obvious to me that they are only out to make money, not to earn customers.
Bucky's is a repair shop, and they do just about everything! I go to them for all my muffler work. Not only are they skilled at mechanical work, but their work is of excellent quality! Their service is great, always with a smile and respect, always willing to do what they can and to discuss options with you. Most importantly, at Bucky's Complete Auto Repair, the prices are great!
This book store/educational supply store is fantastic! Especially great for homeschoolers or other educators, you can find many types of educational supplies, from room decor, toys, books, some curriculum, and tons of other items. It is even great for parents and caregivers who just wish to get one or two items to help supplement other forms of education! The prices can be spendy (depending on the items though), but worth every penny. The customer service is fantastic!
This is an extremely large Goodwill store. When she comes to town, my mom always likes to go here, because of the large selection to choose from. It is the size of 2-4 regular sized Goodwill stores. They have everything - tons of books and clothing items, linens, housewares, furniture, electronics, etc. However much of it is in disarray. They keep it tidied as much as possible, but it isn't organized well. Also, some of the prices are a bit high for a second hand store. However, there are also some good deals in the mix, you just have to keep your eyes open. Customer service isn't all that great, many don't speak good English, and the lady that checked us out last time just wadded up the clothing items in a ball and threw them in the bag! If you really want to find a gem, and are up for a hunt, I would still check these guys out. Just don't be dismayed if you run into less than thrilled employees.
When you walk in the door, you will see an abuela hand making tortillas, which should give you a clue as to the quality of food here. The manager will come check on you, just to make sure that things are up to your standards. The food is great, and when you are in the mood for Mexican food, I'd certainly recommend giving them a try! The prices are very reasonable!
