With their on-site financing and wide variety of vehicles available, JD Byrider is a great place to buy a used car. While their selection is sometimes slim, they are able to get vehicles from other locations. The ones they do have are in great condition and seem to be in good mechanical condition as well. Their prices are marked up a little, but what delear doesn't do that? I'm had minimal contact with their sales staff, but from what I can tell, they all seem knowledgeable and helpful. I'd recommend checking them out if you are in the market for a used car.
VIP Car Wash has a nice line-up of self-service car washes to get your vehicle fresh and clean! It is one of the better car washes in the area, with high pressure and decent rates!
I went to Miracle Car Wash for the first time in June to have a full detail job done on my car, and I have never been so impressed with a company in this line of work. I left my car with them at 12:30, and when I picked it up at 4:30, it was cleaner than the day I bought it. Their staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and treated me and my car like we were the most important customers that day, even though they were extremely busy. Not only did they vacuum, dust, and wax my car, they steam-cleaned the seats and upholstery, did their best to hand scrub some stains out of the seats and floormats, and washed every nook and cranny of the car, inside and out. They even cleaned the engine compartment and trunk! Once that was all complete, they dried it out and organized everything that was in the car. When I picked up my car, I got a complete walkthrough of what they did and some future care tips. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the cleaning job they did, and will definitely go back to them in the future!
Waterworks Car Wash is a self-service car wash, with a drive-in automatic one. It has several stalls for regular sized vehicles, as well as a couple semi-truck stalls. The one time I wash my car there, I spent about three times what I have spent at other places in town just to pre-wash, wash, and rinse (no wax or spot-free setting becaues it was getting too expensive). I was disappointed with how little time they give for $1, and even though I kept feeding in quarters, it didn't give me a warning when my time was out, and I ended up leaving without getting my car completely rinsed because I ran out of quarters. The vaccums didn't seem to have as much suction as other places I've been to. If I ever needed a quick wash-off, and wasn't too worried about getting a good, thorough car wash, I might stop here again.
Heartland Harley-Davidson is a strong force in Southeast Iowa, with a great selection of motorcycles and accessories to suite all of your on and off-road needs! The staff is very helpful, and you won't be disappointed with the high-quality of the merchandise there. I also love the shows they do, including a recent car show, which filled their parking lot with collectors cars and bikes. It seems like every other weekend there is something new going on. It's a great place to shop and a great place to go for the occasional entertainment as well.
George does a lot more than just glass! He's always been really helpful with last minute repairs to my family's vehicles, and has fabulous prices. His quick service is one of the highlights of his business!
I've called Auto Glass Center on occassion for their quotes on glass replacement and they have great rates. They have good customer service, and treat their customers well!
Burlington Glass, Inc. is another company I call for price quotes on glass replacement in the area, and again, I think their prices are very comparable to the competition. The employees are helpful, but do sound to be a little busy each time I call. They could possible be a little friendlier, but that is the only disadvantage I can think of. I've heard good things about their repairs from the people I know that have used Burlington Glass for their auto glass needs.
I've called Auto Glass Masters a few times for their quotes on glass replacement on several different vehicles, and their rates are always comparable to their competitors. The employees I speak with are always friendly and helpful, which is usually a good sign of great customer service! Since I only do research and it is up to my customers who they choose to do the work for them, I can't attest to the quality of their work, but I have never heard complaints!
Family Video is the best place for movie rentals in Burlington. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, and I enjoy seeing them when we go in on the weekends. They always have the newest releases and even some great classics. Their video game selection is fantastic, and the store is well-organized.
The prices for rentals are reasonable, though I don't like the late fees. I love that you can often buy new releases after they have been out for a while for a lot less than other stores.
The only disadvantage I can think of is that newest releases are usually out of stock until they've been out for a few weeks.. However, the employees are always happy to look and see if any new ones came in and haven't been put back out yet.
Overall, it is my favorite place for movie rentals in town, and I highly recommend them!
