While not new or shiny, the Bridgehead provideds a pleasant dining experience. The staff is friendly and the prices are great. I've enjoyed every meal I've had there so far too. They have both indoor and outdoor tables, and decent parking available. Noting fancy, but they provide a good quailty dining experience anyway.
While they aslo serve some Itallian food, I love the mexican too much to stray. The portions are huge, and the prices are low. They also have a seperate bar and pool tables. There are a few viedo games for the kids. The inside is painted with some of the neatest murals I've seen. You don't get just free chips and salsa while you wait, but they bring a bean dip for the chps that is super yummy! Service can sometimes be hit or miss, but it's good more than it's bad. They also do take-out and delivery.
Dr. Visendi is very kind and friendly. Asks lots of questions, so everything is as good as it can be. The staff is friendly, and were increadably helpfull to me in picking out my new frames. They helped me understand what was covered by my insurance so that I could stay in budget buying my glasses. My perscription was reay when they said it would be, and the fitting was quick.
This is a referal practice associated with the Contra Costa Emergency Vet. Hospital. A surgon can be called in on an emergency basis (like when my mother's cat ate a needle), or surgery's can be set up from referals from general practices that aren't comfotable with more complex surgery. I've had to do both for my pets, and found the surgeons, to be excellent. They explained the procedures well so I knew what was going to happen. They do cost quite a bit more than a regular verinarian, but the service is specialized too.
PROS: Good quality care
Primarily a seafood reasturant, they do have a few other options. My low-carb friends love it here. There's also a bar upstairs where you can hang out, but also order food as well. The food is great, if a tad expensive. It's located on the Benicia waterfront, so there's a pretty view. My toddler enjoyed our visit, but I wouldn't call it a family reasturant.
PROS: Good food, good view
CONS: Not cheep
First thing in the mornings, this is a popular spot. Sometimes ther'es a line out the door. However, the staff is always smiling and happy, no matter how busy they are. The donuts are the best, and the prices are darn good to. Parking isn't bad early before neighboring shops open, but later in the day it can be tight.
They handled the flowers for my wedding. They gave me so much to choose from. The gave me book after book to look through, and helped work with me to keep things in our (very tiny) budget. Everything was delivered on schedule and in great condition. I've used them for Mother's day flowers since, and have always been satisfied. Prices are reasonable. They also have quite a few live plants. I'd use them again for sure.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. There is a lot to look at and choose from in their display room. The prices seemed a little high to me, but I don't buy flowers that much. The flowers we chose were delivered on schedule and in great condition. Mom was thrilled with them.
Not a huge zoo, so you can see it all in a few hours. One of the neat things for those with kids, is they have some carnaval type rides just outside the gates. There is also a train ride there that goes around the zoo. It's worth the line. They have beautiful exibits for the big cats, and the new children's zoo is amazing. Our toddler had a blast there. I like that they have a few exibits with several species all mixed in together. It's neat to see the animals interacting. Food is a bit expensive, and not much variety, but you can bring in your own lunch to save money.
We go to their Christmas light show every year. It's cold at night, but a fun holiday evening.
This Zoo is so big, you're not going to be able to see it all in a couple of hours. They have a huge variety of animals. There are playgrounds for the kids, and a train ride. The children's zoo is nice, and the workers there don't just clean up poop. They also talk to the kids and are great at answering questions. Their little wildlife show is short, but fun. The gorillias are my favorite exibit, and I could spend all day there. They also have penguins, which I haven't seen anywhere else. The cat and bear exibits seem a bit outdated, but they are always making improvments and building new exibits. The new lemur habitat is amazing.
PROS: So much fun
CONS: Difficult to find parking
