I'm a big ice cream fan and prefer softer ice creams to compact, hard ice cream in your freezer. East Coast Custard's ice cream is so soft and creamy and the sizes are gigantic. They have huge waffle cones, which is a perk because my only other option for ice cream in a 5 minute drive is McDonald's, which just has small wafer cones. After you get your ice cream, you can sit on the benches outside the store or take a table inside. They have sundaes in cups, too, if you want to save calories on the cone.
CONS: I've always thought the inside of the store smells funny.
I think our house has the most phenomenal garden on our street, thanks to Down to Earth Landscaping. =) They came in with wood chips, trees, bushes, and flowers and transformed our dull landscaping (plain grass with a few trees here and there) into something you'd want to photograph and admire the beauty of. They were friendly, made good recommendations, and were knowledgeable in giving instructions how to take proper care of the luscious plants and flowers.
I'm not sure why, but my dad decided we needed to drywall the bathroom before going through with painting and putting new tiles in. It had something to do with the pipes and water from the shower wrecking something, I think. I knew he'd do an amateur job, so I convinced him to hire a company. He seemed please with the prices and promised speed Dry Wall Specialist offered, so they did the drywall. It turned out great; smooth, professional job that turned out right, so now we can move on with the rest of the bathroom. Great guys.
I was scouring for a hard-to-find book title that even my library didn't have a copy of. I called multiple bookstores, and it seemed the bookstore keepers barely glanced at the shelf as they quickly told me they didn't carry the book I was looking for. Old Erie took my number to look for it thoroughly, and when they called back, they had a copy, which they held for me until I got there to pick it up. Awesome customer service!!
I was a member of the Cleveland Contemporary Dance company and learned great hip-hop moves. I literally couldn't dance at all prior to it, but the instructor made my body loosen up and move in rhythmic ways I didn't think would be possible for me. Their shows are stunning and well choreographed; the dance routines are sizzling hot and I picked up moves I can use outside of the instruction room. Thanks!!
I bought my karaoke machine at Karaoke Kandy. It's been a great source of entertainment for my friends and I - it has two durable microphones, a CD and cassette player, and an audio recorder to tape your own voice singing. We have a blast at parties, goofing around on it. They had a lot of different machines with different features and options and prices - if you have an expectation, they'll have something to meet it.
Magic Candle Shoppe is a nice gift store with hundreds of candles. They have little tea light candles to put in various ceramic holders, little colorful candles in glass jars (with some great scents, like Christmas Cookie or Rainbow Magic), and even unscented candles for the atmosphere without aggitating allergies or anything. Great place for candles for any room of your house, and they have much more than that.
I was looking for an authentic leather jacket and came to Wilsons to see if I could find one. They had different colors (traditional black, tan, brown, etc.) in many lengths and styles. They had so many that I was trying them on for a half an hour, then picked from the three that I loved. Nice store with a lot of merchandise and options to pick from.
Good to Go has gourmet cheese, fancy crackers, and other foods to present to people (or to have at a more formal party or social gatherings). They have different herbal flavorings in their foods that can't be found in grocery stores. There's a lot of unique varieties and is anything but bland - their foods are quite flavorful and delicious.
Like the other reviewer, I had a bad experience with City Nails also. They were rough, messy, inconsistent in their work, and weren't polite or friendly with their customers. They seemed irritated, hostile, and in a bad mood and it was just an unpleasant environment. The nails turned out well, and no infections, but when I'm dishing over money to have something done, I want it to be a pleasant experience.
