When my son fractured his ankle this was the hospital we where sent to for x rays. The hospital is older but service was fast and efficient. The x ray technician was great and knowledgable in the advice he gave us. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We recently spent a morning in City of Dallas hospoital having a procedure done. The staff where some of the friendliest I have met and just wonderful with our child. The rooms we where in where clean and well equiped. There was always a staff member available to answer any questions or provide us with anything we needed.
DR. Martin was the best! He came in and explained all he had to do with our daughter. She was never scared as Dr. Martin was very gentle and very reassuring. He was available to us for any questions and by her bedside when she came around.
This lab was used for my daughters recent hospital stay. The lab staff where very quick and thorough in getting the results out to us and the Dr's. They where great in working with the insurance company and only billed us our portion.
If you have boys you must makes this a place to see. Here you can enjoy a video of the academy and see what it has to offer, what the cadets go thru and a tour of the grounds. Then you can take either a self guided tour or go on a guided tour of the chapel (a must see) and some of the statues. There are also many places to tour by car around the grounds. Tours are free. There is a place to eat at the visitor center.
The Olympic training center is a must see on your trip to Colorado Springs. They offer free tours every hour which starts with a video and then a guided tour thru the facility and into some of the training arenas. You can also do a self guided tour but that does not get you into some of the facilities. The tour guide is very knowledgable and open to lots of questions. After the tour one is free to roam the grounds and take pictures. There is also a gift store.
PROS: Free tour
This store calls you inside by the mural of Chatlie and the chocolate factory on the outside. They have a large variety of tempting treats from carmel apples to at least a couple dozen different fudges and candies. Prises are reasonable for a specialised store such as this. This is also a historical store as it was the first one of its kind to open.
Visiting Old Colorado City must include a stop at this ice cream store. They have a nice variety of different ice creams which are priced according to how much the cone weighs! The ice cream is lovely and creamy and you can enjoy it while sitting on the outdoor benches and watching people walk on by.
Cafe Julie is situated inside the Broadmoor hotel in Colorado springs. It offers a variety of pastries and hot teas and coffees. Seating is available inside or out. The items are on the higher end of the price scale but that is expected at the Broadmoor. Service was friendly and pretty quick.
We where dissapointed by our visit to this pottery studio. There was not much information upon entering and no one to offer the free tour as advertized. Entry was free which was good. The studio was old and not a place I would recommend as a must see. You could purchase pottery and other items there but all was very expensive.
CONS: expenisve and no tours
