A fantastic indoor water park, that is so much fun. Who said swimming is just for the summer months. I love to bring my family on a cold winter day preferably when it is snowing outside to swim at the North Clackamas Aquatic Park for an extra special treat. They offer many different sessions and fun activities as well as lessons. They have a wading pool for the little ones and provide life vests free of charge. They have a wave pool that is a blast and slides of all kinds. They even have a jacuzzi for the adults and its all heated nice and warm. They have birthday party packages which are catered by Pizza Schmizza.
Best of all if your child is of the four legged kind you can bring them down for Dog Daze of Summer the Aquatic Parks annual maintenance shutdown. This is a special day one time a year that is literally for the dogs. They are welcomed to swim in the pools and after the session is over the Aquatic Park is drained, cleaned and thoroughly sanitized before opening up again to the public. The dogs have so much fun and there owners too. Prices very depending on sessions and activites but all are very reasonable.
I have fond memories of taking my first ice skating lessons at this rink 40 years ago. The Lloyd Center Ice Rink is still going strong and to this day is a great place to take the kids or the whole family for a great ice skating experience. For added convenience they are located smack dab in the middle of the Lloyd Center Mall where you can drop the kids off for skate lessons or public skate sessions while you do your shopping. They have many skating options available freestyle and dance, curling, broom ball, and a nice pro shop where you can rent your skates or bring your own. Rock out on Friday nights with a live Deejay at the rock n sk8 session, your teens will love it. They have a summer camp for kids 6-12 which takes place in June thru August and has a verity of fun things to do. They provide snacks, lunch, crafts, movies, games and as always skating. Stop by and make some fond memories of your own.
