Swansons Nursery has a huge selection of plants, trees, potteries and garden supplies. It is not far from I-5 and 85th Street, which is close my work. They also have the weekly specials which I'd love to go. Their price is sometimes a little higher than the competitors, but I buy plants when they are on sale during the weekly specials and most of the time I get myself a good deal.
I love Eastside Message Therapy! I have had shoulder pain for a long time due to my work (8 hours sitting in front of the computer), and after visiting them for 10 sessions, my pain is almost gone. Every session is around 30 minutes, and they have various modalities and techniques depending on my pain. Highly recommended to people like me.
I brought in several pairs of trousers and jeans that were too long for me. Fatimas tailoring and alterations did a good job to make them fit for me, the price was reasonable for this not-so-challenging work, and the whole job was done in less than a day (dropped them off in the morning, picked them up after work). I am glad to be able to wear them without another shopping trip.
My business partner was looking for help with the bookkeepings and taxes for his retail shop, and he found Accounttemps on the Internet. From what he told me, he got the services he needed relatively quick, they did a good job filling out the forms and explaining to him what he had missed earlier. The price was reasonable compared to other accounting firms in the area. He said he would go back again.
I went to Lmi Notary for a signature notary for one of the application form I am filling out. The entire notary process was quick and painless -- for 10 bucks I was able to take the form that has my signature and notary seal on it in 10 minutes.
Located right on James St, this notary service place is in downtown Seattle right across the King county court house, and I can walk to the court house right after the notary.
I used to go to Bel Red auto license for my vehical renewals. That place is always very crowded, and the wait time could last >20 minutes. I do everything online now, but if you have to go in person, don't go during the lunch hour.
My girlfriend and I were going to a party last weekend, and we walked into Magic Nails on the Saturday afternoon without an appointment. We only had a five minute wait. The girls at Magic Nails were very friendly and professional. They initiated small talks while doing the manicure and pedicare, which made time go much faster. We were happy to walk out with shining nails.
Price is reasonable compared to other nail salons.
Henry's Art Gallery is located inside the University of Washington at the intersection of I-5 and I-520. If you are a student of University of Washington, you can get into the Gallery for free, otherwise its $8 for adults for the entrance fee. Unlike the Seattle art mesume, this gallery offers mostly contemporary arts which is fun to see. I always admired the creativeness of these talented artists.
I love the Willows Run Golf course. Since it's right across my office buildings, my colleagues go there every week during the morning to play a round of 18 holes. They have the two 18 holes, family golf, and driving range. The view from Willows golf course is georgeous too, there is no tall buildings around, and on a clear day, you can see blue skys and a distant mountain rainier right where you golf.
The Pike Place Market is definitely a must go for tourists and locals. They always have the freshest seafood, flowers, restaurants, and unique stores. Locals love to go there, visit the market, do some window shopping, buy some flowers, and order some fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants. It's even crowded on rainy weekends.
