While looking for a daycare for my daughter, I considered an in-home daycare and visited several other daycare centers. Springing Up was the only one I visited that actually took time to give me a tour and answer any questions I had. My daughter now goes there and she loves. I am very pleased with the care my daughter has recieved also. They do many different projects (take walks, fingerpaint, play with pudding) and my daughter always has a good time there!
For Mother's Day, my husband and daughter decided I needed a day at the spa to relax. Persona offers so many sevices, I could not decide what I wanted to have done. Pedicure, manicure, haircut, massage? I decided on a massage and was a little leery since I have never had one before. It was wonderful!! I was so relaxed and felt very good afterwards. The atmosphere was also very nice.
From home decorations and furnitutre to clothes, jewelry, and books, if you need anything latin, Latin American Imports is the place to check first. They are somewhat on the pricey side, but the money is well spent. Most of their merchanidse is hand made and brought directly from the small communities where it is made. Be sure to check out the basement where even more treasures await you!
When opening a savings account for my daughter, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They are community based and much of the staff lives in the community they serve. There hours are great - the drive thru is open late on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have weekly drawings and treats for those that come in to the bank. Whether you are looking to spend money, save money, or make money, check them out.
When looking for that hard to find CD, record, movie, or poster, try Vintage Vinyl first. They have a huge selection of books, movies, CDs, records, and posters. There are also stickers, patches, and clothing that are sold there. Check them out and find the CD you've always been looking for, or a CD you never even knew existed, but couldn't live without.
This second floor tattoo parlor in University City is a great place to go for tattoos or body piercings. They are very professional, clean and they do great work. I would highly recommend trying them out! They are usually busy so you might want to call and make an appointment. Or, you could walk around University City while waiting. There are many cool shops there to browse.
I would recommend the guys at Irezumi. My husband and I both got tattos there and they did a great job on both of us. We will definitely go back if we decide to get any more work done. The store is clean, the artists are professional and their prices are about average along with the other places around. We had a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it!
When you are looking for a book, clothing or other item for yourself or for a friend, I would recommend The Peace Nook. They have a wide variety of books, postcards, and other literature that is perfect for anybody who is aware of what is going on in the world today and wants to make a difference or for those who want to learn more about what is really going on around the world.
At Cool Stuff, you can find almost anything you are looking for. When dricing down Broadway in Columbia, Cool Stuff sticks out. Once you enter, you will be amazed at all the "cool stuff" that is in there. There are beads, jewelry, beer brewing supplies, cards, clothes, toys, home decorations and much much more. If you are looking for a gift for someone, make Cool Stuff your first stop. There prices are reasonable too!
This store has a lot of unique items that you cannot find in any regular store. When shopping for a gift for your mother, daughter, sister, best friend, I would recommend looking her first. There are crafty items in addition to beauty supplies, purses and bags and gourmet food items. They are a little on the pricey side, but sometimes it is worth speding a little more to give the perfect gift.
