One of my nails broke and I nneded an emergency manicure and Pro nails was teh closest salon that I could find. they are pretty decent when it came to fixing my nail. The lady was friendly and helped me quickly. They did not charge me even though they knoew I had a "nail emergency". Other places like to overcharge because they know that customers don't have a choice. The salon was clean and well maintained. All the spa chairs were new and clean. Overall it was a good experience for a salon that I knew nothing about.
The lady that did my manicure could not speak one word of English, so I do not know how she became certified. And when I asked the another lady if they cleaned the instruments, she gave me a completly blank look. This scared me because I did not want to contract a fungal infection. Luckily I did not. But the job was poorly done and the salon iteslf was old and dingy. I would never return to this nail salon. There are so many in the city that any place would be a better experience.
This is just an average nail salon that offersservives such as manicures and pedicures. The salon is always very neat and clean. And you always see the ladies cleaning their instruments before each customer which is really important. There are always people waiting here to get their nails done, so they are doing a good job. But I can't understand why their prices are higher than your average "hole in the wall" nail salon. They don't really anything out of the ordinary. And parking here is also very difficult. But I did like the fact that they clean their instruments.
I used to attend the University of san Francisco and Koret Center used to be my second home. They have a wonderful facility that offers great exercise equipment, both cardiovascular and a weight room. They also have basketball courts and raquetball rooms that are clean and very well maintained. Their locker rooms are not cramped and housekeeping is always around to make sure that everything is fresh and tidy. The olympic size pool is alo great and there is always a lifeguard available. They even have a healthy cafe in the center that caters to us health junkies. Its a wonderful gym with alot of anemities. You do have to live in the vacinity or be an alumni to become a member. But you can get passes. And parking is alittle difficult in this area.
This is the best YMCA in San Francisco. It is a good size facility that is clean and very well maintained. It has a great variety of exercise equipment and always someone there to help you work things out. This gym offers the same services that other gyms offer, but the prices at the YMCA are much cheaper than premium gyms. Its an overall great value for the price. This gym is highly recommended. Some of the other YMCA gyms are not as new and clean, but the Embarcadero gym is great.
When Equinox first opened some several months ago, I recieved a free trial two week pass. I was very impressed with the facilities. All of the equipment was top notch. The staff members were very friendly and offered as much help as you needed. And I fell in love with their pool. Its wonderful. Even the locker rooms were neat and fresh smelling. It is convieniently located in the financial district for all those people that just do not have the time. The only reason that I did not join this gym is the price. It was way out of my price range. But if you can afford it, then more power to you.
I was a little disappointed after I went to Citizen Cake for the first time. I was expecting delicious desserts because I had seen the chef highly recommended on the Food Network. The desserts were not spectacular, nothing out of the ordinary. The presentation was okay, but I was not in awe like I expected. And the prices were outrageous. I spent almost twenty dollars for a dessert and coffee. I was also not too thrilled with the service. The counterlady was somewhat friendly, but never made eyecontact and seemed like she did not want to be there. It was a very disappointing experience.
I found a listing for the AA Bakery online and it recieved great reviews so I decided to order one of its cakes for my father's birthday. It was one of the best decisions that I have every made. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered a chocolate sponge cake with fresh blueberies and whipped cream. The cake was very light and moist, not at all heave, sweet, and dreadful. The owner was very nice and gave me a great price. i waited for the cake to cool before I took it home so I knew that it was very fresh. This is by far one of the best bakeries in the city. You pay for quality pasteries, cakes, and buns. They are a bit on the expensive side but it is definitly worth every penny.
I was not too impressed with the serice at this particular Jiffy Lube. I just need an iol change and did not want to wait a long time before my regular maintenance visit. The service was okay, very fast but they kept pushing more services on me. I told them that I was not very interested but they were very persuasive. I do not like it when dealers have to push products and service. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. And it makes me not want to return again.
I like visiting this eatery during the weekday because it is less crowded than the weekend. Its a great place to get filling yummy food at very affordable prices. They offer foods other than crepes, such as eggs, pancakes, salads, soups, and burgers. But of course, the crepes are the best very fresh and tasty. And the service is very simple. You pay for your meal and they deliver it to you table. You do have to pick up your drinks and silverware, but that is not a big deal. Also whenever the owner is aroound, he tries to greet all the customers. It is nice to know that you are supporting a family business rather than a big chain store.
