I chose this company after getting 7 other estimates. They were the lowest, so I made sure I checked references closely. They did a good job, fairly quickly, and had the best price. All of the workers were from Europe, and only one member of the crew spoke English, so communication was difficult.
PROS: price, quality
This business buys and sells coins and precious metals. Their prices are fair, both buying and selling. I was with a friend who was selling her late father's coin collection at this store. The owner carefully went through all of the coins and made her an offer for the collection, which she accepted. The owner was very knowlegable, and explained why some coins were worth more than others.
PROS: trustworthy, knowlegable
This business is open every other week, from Thursday to Saturday. They sell used items such as furniture, linens, china, knick knacks, and everything else! They buy estates, and sell the items here. The inventory changes every week, and every week something else is on sale. Saturday at 2:30 is their $5.00 a bag sale. Everything you can fit into a grocery bag from a designated section of the store is $5.00. People line up for this ahead of time, hoping to get the items they have their eye on. I've gotten some really nice things here.
This store carries the basics. It has much less variety than Lowe's or Home Depot, but it usually has what I need. The prices tend to be a little higher than those stores too. The advantage is that they have ample staff, and my trips there are always quick. The staff quickly help me to find what I need. I've never waited in line to check out my purchases. This is a huge advantage over the larger stores.
PROS: service, efficiency
CONS: price, selection
This store has a very limited selection, and is difficult to walk around in. The store is very small, and has little aisle space. The parking lot is also very small. The prices are competitive, however.
CONS: selection, size of store and parking lot
This store used to be the biggest and lowest price store around. In recent years they've lost their edge. They carry all the basic wines and beers, but not some of the more interesting stuff. Their prices aren't as competitive as they used to be, either. They are open late, and do have Sunday hours.
CONS: price, variety
This store has everything - huge variety of wine, spirits and beer, accessories, snacks, etc. The prices are the lowest in the tri-state area. The wines are sorted alphabetically, which is a big plus. The staff are all extremely helpful and knowlegable. They'll let you try a wine if you are unsure whether or not to buy!
PROS: variety, store layout, service, price
The service at this store is usually very good. Some of the staff offer very good recommendations, and seem to know their business. If you can go a little farther, though, you can get better prices at the larger, discount liquor stores.
This shop carries a wide variety of bikes and cycling supplies. The service is what brings me back time and again. Whether you're spending $5.00 or $5,000.00, the people running this store will spend plenty of time with you, giving quality service and sensible advice.
PROS: customer service, quality workmanship
Dr. Greeley is professional, caring, and knowlegable. She takes time to explain everything, and make sure the parent and patient are comfortable. I took my children to another orthodontist first, then switched to Dr. Greeley. The difference is astonomical! Her staff is so pleasant and genuinely concerned about their clients.
