The Sheraton is located next to the Monona Terrace, and as such, has a wonderful view of Lake Monona. The rooms are snazzy, and they occasionally bring in great live music acts for their bar over the weekends.
I believe this listing was originally meant for the Concourse Hotel, not Sam's Club. Anyways, the first night I stayed in Madison, I spent it at the Concourse, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as it was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
This is one of the best places to pick up good quality groceries in the entirety of Madison. I've come across comparable cuts of meat at Sentry that are twice as expensive. In addition, you can pick up all sorts of snazzy things here that would cost you marginally more per unit somewhere else. Plus, they offer a great selection of vitamins and nutritional supplements, all at a significant discount over what you'd pay elsewhere.
I've only been here a few times, but everytime I've stuck around to take in a show, I've enjoyed it. There's rarely a dull moment in this club. Too bad Joy took off for NY.
The Comedy Club does a great job bringing in performers from all around the United States. Like most comedy clubs, some of the acts they put on miss the mark, but usually you'll have a good time.
The original princeton club doesn't quite match up with the new and improved version out on the west side of town, but it's still a more than decent gym. The equipment is well-kept, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and is generally a good place to work out. Unfortunately, unless you live way out on the east side of town, the location is kind of out-of-the-way, though, and the membership fee is a little on the expensive side.
I'd say that this is, quite possibly, one of the finest fitness facilities I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Unfortunately, membership fees reflect this fact.
This is the gym I usually go to in order to work out. The management has done a good job in renovating the facility and maintaining the equipment. A little pricey, though, but good location.
Capital Fitness's Capital Square location bears a decent set of equipment. The selection of equipment here isn't nearly as good as at their other location, on Butler Plaza.
The proprietor of this tailor shop does a pretty good job with shirts. I took in a few shirts to have darts sewn into them, and after she was done with them, they fit fairly well. Unfortunately, she does charge a little more than I had expected. I have to be honest when I say that I'm writing this review even as someone who personally knows the proprietor, so you may want to look at a few other reviews for this shop before making your decision on whether or not to patronize this place.
