I've never been a huge comic book collector as I only have a few series that I really love and would shell out the dough for. Regardless, I still love to browse through stores and check out what they have. When my friend recommended this store to me I visited it with the intent not to buy anything. The prices were pretty good though and I ended up leaving with a few items. The staff was also really friendly and helpful when I was looking for a title that I couldn't find. Check them out!
This hotel is absolutley amazing. I often bring my friends here to just take a walk and enjoy the view when they visit. It is definitely a pricey hotel though. If you have the dough and you want to impress people, check it out though. It is absolutely amazing. Right on the beach with a heartstopping view, it's like paradise come true. Enjoy a lunch on the terrace or check out their ice cream parlor. Whatever you want, they've got it.
I originally regularly visited the Cody's Books in Berkeley, but when I moved away from Berkeley I resorted to buying my books at large chain stores like Barnes and Nobles. Although there is nothing wrong with those stores, I always prefered Cody's for their warm and cozy atmosphere. In addition to having a fantastic selection of books, graphic novels, and magazines, I enjoy attending the book readings and signings as well. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful with anything you might want to find.
Cool Scrapbook Stuff has a really great and cute little scrapbook store. With so many discount stores adding scrapbooking selections to their inventory like, "Big Lots" and "Walmart," it's hard to match their prices, but the smaller branched scrapbooks certainly beat out the larger chains when comparing the size of their selection. With new products all the time, I find myself never bored of that store.
Commerce Casino is a pretty good casino for card games. Blackjack and poker games are the main card games. If you and some buddies are driving up the Interstate 5 freeway, stop by and have a few drinks and play a few hands. You have no idea how fun that will turn out. It is easy to find and the service is pretty good here as well.
A very nice gesture that this casino provides is that they give you money if you go to their casino on their buses. If you live far away and decide to take the Valley View Casino Bus, they give you 5 dollars at the door. There are not a ton of card tables but they make up for that in the slot department. They offer so many different slot machine games.
This is a traffic school that captured my attention with their name, as you probably can tell since you are reading this. The class itself was not as boring as I thought it would be. It is better than any of the other ones I have attended or heard about. The class did not seem like it was a full day at all. The presenter was very nice and the staff there was very nice as well.
This is a great casino. The only setback is that it is in the middle of nowhere in Campo, CA. It is about 45 minutes from El Cajon, CA. But if you drive by on the 8 freeway, you have to stop by. There are 3 dollar blackjack tables, which I have not seen anywhere else. Also, there are tons of great slot machines that seem to be pretty loose. good luck!
This is such a nice sports stadium. Recently built and home of the San Diego Padres, everything is so high tech and up to date. Not only is it a great place to watch baseball games, but it is also a great place for other events that they have. You have to pay for parking, if not at the stadium, then on the surrounding streets. It is in the middle of Downtown San Diego, so after seeing a game, you can head into the streets.
Pechanga Casino is a decent casino. It is not as high class and flashy as many of the other casinos in the San Diego and Los Angeles area, but it is still a casino where fun is not hard to find. There are tons of card tables and a large variety of slot machines. There is tons of parking, so don't worry. it is easy to find off the 15 freeway as well.
