I used to take my kids here a couple of times a month and they always had so much fun. It's a great place to spend a rainy day swinging at the different speed pitching machines or playing basketball. After you're done you can grab a hotdog and wind down with the kids!
PROS: So much fun
Artasia is an Asian import store in the 3rd Ward district of Milwaukee. It is simply one of the most fascinating places I've shopped at in the city. They carry high quality stuff so some of it is quite expensive. They also have Chinese artifacts from tombs, hand carved enclosed bed frames, instruments, full size stautes and more!
PROS: This place is simply amazing
CONS: Can be expensive
Pet Supplies Plus deffinately lives up to its name... it has the most and then some. They have awesome sales, you can buy pet treats/food in bulk and the staff is extremely pet friendly. You can also take your pet with you when you go into the store. There is no better place to spend your time shopping for that furry four legged friend!
PROS: Stock is superb, so is the staff
CONS: absolutely none
I cannot say enough good things about the Pahle Small Animal clinic. Even though it's located on the other side of town from my home I still won't take my pets anywhere else. The staff is friendly and they treat the animals so amazingly well. I've had bad experiences with other clinics but this has never been the case for Pahle. They also feature pet boarding at affordable prices.
PROS: Great staff!!!
I've been taking my kids to Collectors Edge for years and it has always been a great experience. They stock so many titles, both mainstream and Indie, and if they don't have it they will always be willing to order it for you. The staff is exceptional and they really know their stuff. It isn't as stuffy and obnoxious as some of the newer comic book stores in that they have a nice couch where you can sit and browse the comics that you're thinking about buying.
PROS: Great selection and staff
CONS: Smaller in physical size
Walthers is amazing. It has a horrible locationoff of 60th street that is barely visible from the road but what it lacks in curb appeal it makes up for with indoor fun. This place has miles of model train tracks running throughout the store on all different scales. It's a great place to take the kids or to shop for supplies for yourself. Hint: check out thye clearance area, the prices are amazing!!!
PROS: Best place to get model train gear!
Amateur Electronic Supply is one of the coolest places on the North side of Milwaukee. They have so much stuff that you can't find anywhere else AND their prices are competitive. I've bought HAM radios, scanners, and a host of other things from them in the past and the staff is great and they really know their stuff!
PROS: One of the only places to get certain hard-to-find electronic supplies
CONS: Location is hard to find if you don't know the area
Happy Hobby is amazing! I'm a science teacher and every year my students have to build model rockets and I always purchase my supplies from Happy Hobby. They have everything and the prices are very reasonable. Whether you're interested in rockets, model cars, gas powered cards, remote controlled airplanes, or a host of other hobbies, this is the place to go.
PROS: Literally, they have everything! Best hobby store in Milwaukee!
I've taken SEVERAL classes in the arts at Mt. Mary and I cannot say enough good things about their facilities. While they may not atract students of higher skill levels they make up for lack of competition with a superb staff of instructors who are always willing to help those that need it and give advice to anyone who is having difficulties.
PROS: Great Instructors, alot of access to facilities
Mee Kwon may be a little small and not as challenging as other Milwaukee area courses but it is a great isolated spot to hit the ball. The course is always well maintained and features attractive water hazards and an array of wildlife. It's a nice quiet place to shoot 9 or 18.
PROS: well taken care of
CONS: Not that challenging
