Well I get tons of busin doess cards for taxi services among other things. On card I tried was for El Mexicano Taxi Service. The oerator answers in spanish and it is hard for her to understand where you need a pick up from. She'll tell you 10 minutes for your cab to come. The cab took over 30 minutes to arrive. Why? He was grocery shopping and had hot McD's in the back. Aparently picking me up wasn't important. There are no markers identifying the cab as a cab, it was dirty, smelly, and there is no meter in the cab either. This makes you question whether or not the cab is authorized to work or not. Also the number I had for the business card was different. The cab also had the radio on and was on the cell phone. I did arrive safely to my destination, late the fare was cheap.
I simply love their pastries and cookies. This small shop is always crowded and the smell of the pastries and desserts make your belly grumble. I enjoy picking over the dozens of cookies, choosing from many I do not know the name of. I did order a cake for my little girls 5th birthday. Unfortunately the cake wasn't ready when we went to pick up and we had to wait 20 minutes. I excuse it because it was the day before Christmas. I wasn't too happy with the cake. Many of their ready made desserts look very professional, my daughter's cake looked like it was decorated by someone just getting out of school. It tasted delicious though. I'm not too bothered by the result, but I won't order a cake from them again around Christmas. I had a back up cake from publix that simply stole the show. It was one of those doll cakes. My daughter loved both and felt like a princess with two cakes! All in all I love the cookies, and ready made desserts!
I called looking for a quote on car insurance and the first lady I spoke to was polite, she quickly connected me to an agent to speak with. Immediately an agent picked up the line and began taking my information. The customer service was very helpful and polite. She took my information, was courteous when I did not know the answer to the question. She explained the policy to me in detail, explained my options, and answered all of my questions. I am happy with my new policy.
Chop Chop offers great tasting Chinese food on a college kids budget. I especially enjoy their fried rice, is about the only thing I order to have delivered. We use to order the wraps also for a quick lunch. Although some times it too a good 45 minutes for the food to arrive. They also had the most delicious mango ice cream, another favorite. When calling the restaurant for delivery, you might be placed on hold for a few minutes and rushed through your order. Also the food isn't consistent, some days it taste better then others.
They offer small summer school program for little children. They have organized classes with themes and planned activities for each day. The also have scheduled playtime, arts and crafts, and activities like small petting zoo and outdoor fairs for the kids. The kids really loved petting the animals and seeing the show they had. Classes are about 12 students in the 2 year old and 12 in the 3 year old, just depending on the number of students. There are two teachers to each room. The kids have a lot of fun and love showing the crafts they make during school. The teachers are warm and friendly and answer any questions you might have and also tell about the kids day. The class itself is very kid friendly with a reading station, lunch station, and play station. The also have sinks where the kids can wash their hands and practice good hygiene.
PROS: creative learning environment for the kids
The office is quite small. They offer several different insurance policies that they offer. They offer car insurance among other things. There are only two ladies in the office to help customers so you sometimes have to wait to be helped. There are days that the customer service agents can be short with you, perhaps it?s because they are overworked. Also when I wanted to change the policy I had to come in or fax or email them the change I wanted to make. I emailed them and thought nothing of it since. They claimed they never received the email and I had to do it again and again. Finally the fourth email they finally received the changes. Follow up isn?t always the best either though the rates are inexpensive. I never had an accident with the policy so I don?t know how their response is to that. However for those looking for inexpensive auto insurance they can offer you a great deal that is cheaper then larger brands with compareable coverage.
PROS: Inexpensive insurance
CONS: A tad slow with customer service
The BUHE Bakery is a quaint little restaurant serving nice sized portions at incredible prices. The offer freshly made juice in mango (my favorite), strawberry, and banana. The caf is small, and nestled among other businesses, if you don?t know it is there, you could miss it! The inside has caf style seating with room for no more then 20 people it seems, which is fine because it was empty. Two tables with three chairs each line the front window; there is a television in the corner and more chairs to the left of the entrance. The menu includes authentic dishes such as tibs and other dishes such as sandwiches and deserts. Ethiopians eat with their hands and sour flat bread called enjera. Buhe?s food was delicious and quick. We ordered the beef tibs with salad, at first the waitress forgot our salad but brought it out shortly after we started our meal. The also gave us plenty of the enjera to eat with. The food wasn?t hot(spicy), we ordered mild for me and regular for the other two. The two meals were more then enough to fill us all up and have leftovers. The two meals and drinks came to about $28.00. The meals themselves are less then $10.00! The waitress didn?t rush us out like some places, allowing for ample time to let our food digest and to sit and chat afterwards. The only drawback no air conditioner in the place, only fans. In GA during summer it can get a little hot.
PROS: Great fresh food at teriffic prices
CONS: It was hot
