I attended Roswell High School from 1994- 1998. This was a great high school to attend. It is a National School of Excellence and the teachers are very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the sports and extra curricular activities that this school offered. I hear that they have lots of trailers now since the school is so big. I have lots of great memories from here. I felt well prepared for my college experience. The sports teams are good and we compete against other local schools. There is a football stadium and basketball stadium on site.
Growing up in Roswell, you are bound to run into Photography by David! They are well aquainted with every one in the area! Photography by David did all of my sports photos, chearleading, football, softball. When I was in high school they took all of the sports photos and worked closely with the yearbook staff to take lots of photos. They do a great job! Senior pictures are another thing that they do for everyone. And of course, since they do everything else, they do family photos as well. Overall, you can't go wrong with this place- their reputation is great throughout the community.
Bloom Where You Are Planted is a cute shop located in Southern Village in Chapel Hill. My sister and I visited this shop and were impressed with the beautiful plant arrangements and gift baskets that they offer for the home and garden. The owner of the store is very friendly and there is a dog that hangs out with you while you shop.
Caju Salon, located in the Meadowmont Village, is a very hip and sophisticated salon. Personally, I feel that it is one of the most high-end salons in Chapel Hill. They offer all of the standard hair care options, cut, color, as well as facials, nails, tanning and waxing. You can spend a day here and feel like a million bucks! But beware- you may spend a pretty penny here for the luxury and hip feel of the salon.
Located in the Meadowmont Village, Black Mountain Gallery is a very unique jewelry store with lots of unique jewelry items. They have a great selection of all kinds of jewelry from necklaces to bracelets. Best of all- they run sales a couple times a year- this is a great time to stock up on some fun gifts for the ladies in your life.
Great Earth Vitamins always teaches me a thing or two on how to take better care of myself. I stopped in here the other day when I was feeling a cold coming on and picked up some vitamin supplements. The staff was very helpful and the prices seemed in line with other health stores I have been to. Located in the Meadowmont shopping center, this is a convenient location.
Located behind the Streets of Southpoint, this new shopping center hosts this Movie Theater. The Streets of Soutpoint is a great spot for some afternoon shopping, many restaurant choices for dinner and then grab a movie at the theater. There are 16 screens here, so lots of choices for both young and old. Since the theater is new, you will be pleased with the comfort of the chairs and ease of seeing the screen.
The Avenue of West Cobb is a nice new shopping center in Marietta. I like the Avenue because it is more convenient than going all of the way to the mall, but it still has all of my favorite stores- Ann Taylor Loft, Barnes and Noble to name a few. The parking is convenient and there are many shops and restaurants to visit.
The Picture Show located near Merchant's Walk and The Avenue shopping Center in East Cobb, is the cheapest movie theater around- they only charge $1.00 for admission and on Tuesday's it is half price! You can't beat that price, even with renting a movie- and you get to see it on the big screen. They have a great selection of movies with alot of variety and the theater is clean! One thing- snacks are expensive- so eat before you go!
Northside decorating is a small store on Alpharetta Highway that carries many different varieties of paint. I have stopped in here several times for inspiration as well as Benjamin Moore paint chips. The ladies in there are very nice and helpful. There are so many different paint chips, it can be overwhelming!
