Please don't waste your time or your hard-earned money here. The service my boyfriend and I experienced Sunday afternoon was atrocious. The woman who took our order wore a sour expression and was not welcoming in the slightest. While placing our order for two burgers (one with everything and one with only lettuce and tomato), I was told in a snotty tone, ??I can only do one at a time.? I apologized and repeated the order one at a time. When our lunch arrived, the lettuce and tomato burger only had lettuce. I didn??t bother asking for a tomato, but when my boyfriend asked the waiter for a bottle of ketchup, the waiter pointed to a station where the ketchup bottles were stacked and said, ??It??s over there.? Other than delivering our meals, that was the only interaction we had with our ??waiter?. Correct me if I??m wrong, but isn??t the wait staff supposed to?oh, I don??t know?wait on you? You know, ask if everything is okay. See if you want another drink. Don't hold your breath waiting for that here.
As for the food, both the onion rings and the chocolate strawberry cake were delicious. My burger was a bit too charred and dry for my taste, but the ketchup made it edible. The restaurant is very aesthetically appealing. The cement flooring while beautiful, made for terrible acoustics. The volume in the dining room increased to such a degree as to make conversation nearly impossible. Needless to say, we do not intend to return to The Coffee Table.
I've heard great things about Pie N Burger so I had to try it. My take? The burgers were good, but a bit pricey. $6.00 for your basic hamburger with lettuce and tomato seems a bit ridiculous to me since it doesn't come with any sort of side dish. Additionally, the decor was pretty tacky. Denny's anyone?
The food here is always good, but my favorite thing on the menu is the garlic mashed potatoes. Be prepared for service that is a little slow because the restaurant is so popular.
El Portal can always be counted on for great Mexican food and wonderful service! The food is always served piping hot. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered there.
"The Woods" as my family calls it, is a tradition for celebrations. The cheesebread is to DIE FOR! The steaks are flavorful, but I still miss the swordfish they used to sell; it was my favorite entree.
My boyfriend, my son, and I went to Mijares on Sunday for lunch. They loved their entrees (quesadilla & beef burrito), but I was a bit disappointed in the taquitos. The guacamole is EXCELLENT!
I was able to drive right up and get my car smog tested, which was great. However, the testing took about 15 minutes and there wasn't anywhere to sit other than in one of two plastic chairs near an ashtray that was filled with cigarette butts. The area reeked of smoke. Additionally, the test itself cost $50 which is about $10 more than other Test Only Centers I've since contacted.
I've been a member of the AAA for 27 years now and every year the benefits of membership just get better. The service at this particular branch is wonderful. I've gone twice during my lunch hour and I've been able to accomplish everything in less than 15 minutes each time!
The service at BC's Donuts was very slow for a Thursday morning. No one greeted us. No one thanked us. And the donuts were only so-so. I'll stick with my old standby thank you very much.
I've been coming to the California Beauty Supply for over 9 years and the service is always great. The owner is especially friendly and incredibly helpful in recommending products that meet your needs. I only shop here for hair care products.
