The bank is fairly brand new and it's very nice and modern. The best was the tellers are very nice and helpful and the rates that I was looking for a loan was very competitive to others in the area. Parking is minimal but you can park at the adjacent strip mall. The bank is very clean and the advisors were very professional and knew their trade. I decided to go with another loan but wouldn't hestitate to use them in the future for banking or loans.
I had the flu and my doctor advised to go to this facility. The building is fairly new and very clean and open. Walked in and filled out some forms and within 15 minutes I was treated with prescription. What I liked most was it was quick, simple and clean. The area was very nice and plenty of parking available. A good clinic for outpatient service. They also treat many other health and wellness issues.
Those children who are gifted in classical music, you must check out the Music Institute of Chicago They have excellent facility and most of all excellent teachers. Pricing is high but you are paying for the best in the area. You also perform every Saturday evening and if your child is going to go into the career in music, this place is a great resume for a music college. The facility is nestled in a beautiful country day school that is quiet and peaceful. Parking is plenty.
I took my girlfriend to see Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theater and it was awesome. It's a new theater only built in 1999 but everything is beautifully designed and the setting was perfect. They also have a dining area and the theater was run in top notch fashion the day we went to see the musical. The staff was friendly and courteous. The lobby area overseas Lake Michigan so plan on coming early just for the ambience. Come early too to beat the traffic and parking.
Navy Pier is an excellent place to visit in the summer. They have a ferris wheel, miniture golf, all types of boat tours, IMax Theater, and several other exhibits and shops. You can also just walk by the pier that looks over miles and miles of Lake Michigan. They also have different events throughout the year from fireworks night to several expo and boat exhibit. It is also very children friendly as they have a swing ride to childrens museum to build your own teddy bear workshop. A must see if you are visiting Chicago although Parking maybe more difficult to find.
A great place for children to interact with mostly farm animals. They have pigs, llamas, goats, turtles and many other wildlife animals. You can also reserve birthday parties for your child at the zoo. There is plenty of parking although it can become scarce during the weekend. They have paved sidewalks to go from exhibit to exhibit. A great alternative if you live in the suburbs to take your child if you don't want to go to the city Zoo.
When I was living in the area, I had Countryside Cleaners do all my dry cleaning. They always had my cloths in time and whenever there is a spot to be cleaned, it would always come out. if not, they would try again without any extra charge. They would also advised if the material is thin or fragile, the chemicals may ruin the shirt and therefore would advise you ahead of time. The pricing was very reasonable and the location is prime. Parking is not a problem and I would go there again.
If you are into gardening or plants or just want a day to relax, Botanic Garden is the place for you. They have all types of gardens from Japanese Gardens to Water Gardens. Beautiful colors of all types of flowers and plants and you can spend the entire day just walking. It's very relaxing and if you don't want to walk, they even have tours. There is also dining and refreshments. Great place to bring a date or the entire family. Parking is plentiful.
If you're into classical or jazz, Ravinia is a great summer fun to relax and enjoy live music. Each day there is a new artist and many are famous throughout the world. You can purchase tickets for seats in the outdoor hall or you can purchase lawn tickets and enjoy the music as a picnic setting. parking is plentiful and the facility is big. Only downside is mosquitos are plentiful and entering or exiting the area can take awhile due to traffic. A must go if you are into clasical or jazz music!
John M. Smyth Homemakers is a great place for furniture. Their first level is mostly their warehouse or clearance items. The upper floors is their displays. You have plenty of selection from sofas to kitchen tables. Pricing is very good as the materials are solid. There is alot of parking and it's very close to Woodfield Mall so location is great. Check out the clearance items on the first floor as you can sometimes get an excellent deal. The staff are very helpful and nice. They also delivery for a fee or you can pick up the furniture at their dock.
